We are making our first trip to SSR next week and were wondering about the pool rules. My brother and his DD are going to be down there for a week as well and staying at Pop Century. We were wondering if he and his DD could come to SSR pool to play with my DD. I certainly don't want to break any rules, but does anyone know the rule on this? Thanks :thumbsup2

Pool hopping is a privilege extended to DVC members only, so technically they would not be allowed to do this. Realistically, they can probably come over if the pool is not crowded...you can ask before they make the trip.

Of course, you can always go pool hop to their resort! :)

As stated, Pool hopping is for DVC members only, but I would ask the front desk to see if they would allow it (which they shouldn't allow). But I think you are going to be there for the start of the F&W fest so your resort could be very busy, which if it is they may tell you no.

The DVC pool hopping privilege will allow you as a member to "hop" to the pool at Pop Century so you can all swim and enjoy some time together.

Have a great trip.

The only way you could (legally) do it is if you have 'occupancy' in your unit. Say you have a 2-br that sleeps 8, but you only have 6 in your family. You can 'add' your brother and his DD to your reservation. They DON"T need to actually stay with you, but they would be registered guests at SSR and able to use the pool with you. If not, do as the others have suggested to pool hop over to Pop Century and enjoy your visit!
