Hi all - I know there are special rules for an emotional support animal, not a service animal, when it comes to housing options.
Does an apartment complex have to allow an emotional support animal into their housing even if they do not normally have pets? I know documentation is needed, and I can get that from my therapist (no problem there!)
I really need to move out of my current living situation for safety reasons (too many stairs!) but most of the places around here do not allow pets. I have anxiety disorders (plural) and really really really need my kitty. She helps me calm down and is my only friend when I am housebound due to my physical disease...
So I was looking for the official rules on this so I know what I am looking for...
