Rudeness at Hollywood Brown Derby

I am thinking maybe the OP does not want to get into it and I can understand that......

ONe of the posters here said that in however many visits to WDW, they have had rude CM's at one time or another. I would have to say that I have experienced that as well, just not the norm..

I am rather surprised at this older man being rude as he is rather an establishment at the BRown Derby, but I am going to take what the OP said as how he/she felt at the time......He/she was there, we were not.. Paul could have been having a bad day, the OP could have been having a bad day....I just do not want prevent someone from coming and venting about what they think is a bad experience...we are here to help each other and listen and answer questions..

I also understand, and agree that it is not uncommon to encounter a rude CM at some point. The problem that I have is the way the OP responded to a simple misquote ("never said he should be fired.said he should retire.get over yourself"). My experience has been that if someone responds in such a way to a simple statement, such rudeness is a common part of their everyday language. And because of this, I agree with what was previously said:

If this "rude CM" was spoken to in that same uncalled-for way, then perhaps the OP deserved whatever treatment they received.

Unfortunately, it looks like we'll never know, as the OP has apparently disappeared. Oh, well. Maybe the OP was having a bad day.

I don't think anyone here wants to stop anyone from venting about a bad experience. But I'm sorry, I just don't think it's fair to make a comment that someone is rude and should retire, especially someone who has been a long time staple at a beloved establishhment, without some explanation to back up your statement. Yes, I believe these boards exist to allow all of us to voice our opinions, but I don't think we want to turn this into a place where people can just make negative statements about anyone or anything without giving a reason. It's not fair to all parties involved. I thought we all want to help each other -- if the op had a problem at the Brown Derby, they should let us know what is was and maybe somebody out there could make them feel better about it.:flower3:

1) I think the OP has left the building.
2) Good thing.
3) I know Paul.
4) I don't believe I have EVER heard of him being rude.
5) Does not seem to be him.

NOTE: If you make such a statement (like "rude" or "retire") you need to list some specifics, or you will deservedly get the flames like in this post.

Exactly!

I've eaten at the Brown Derby at the Studios several times and never had any problem with any of the CMs there. Come to think of it, I've never had any problem with any CM at ANY of the restaurants at WDW.

Perhaps that's because (1) I'm too easy to please, or because (2) I've just been lucky during my dozens of visits to WDW eatieries.

Or maybe the OP is a type of poster, one we have all come across here, who likes to fire up the group then quitely fade away from answering or responding. Likes the bickering...I could be wrong but I have noticed it a time or 2 before. On other boards its called trolling. Just my opinion

Ohhhhhhhhh - that's what trolling is!:headache: Heard the term used before - never knew what it meant! That could explain it!:thumbsup2
