:thanks:

Someone had to lighten the mood in here, things were getting a little hairy  Lifes too short to take it seriously :flower3:

I have to add one.

I am all for chatting with people at stores. I do it often but for the sake of all thats holy make sure that person KNOWS you are there first!!!!

I was looking at olive oil the other day trying to decide which one to buy when this guy came up behind me and whispered in my ear " they have a huge bottle of the good stuff over at the other side of the store for half the price with the coupon" I about jumped out of my skin!!

OMG HELLO??????? Thanks for the tip but crappola fella, give a girl a break!

Personal attacks, sarcasm, argumentative posts, and such, are not allowed. It is okay to disagree. It is not okay to cut someone down because that person doesn't agree with you. If you give a personal attack you will get an infraction. If you have done any of the above your post will be deleted, and if you have quoted any of the above your post will be deleted. It's either that or delete this whole thread.

Oh, and It's a Happy Day -- funny ;)

Picking my plums from my plum tree while I am at work and not asking me if you could have some.

I like a particular type of pen to use at work so I buy it myself to use at work. I have my name on it and everything so don't act dumb when I see you using it at work. Only one way you could have gotten it and that was to pick it up. You know it is mine so please bring it back.

At a grocery store or at Wal-Mart don't have your kiddo help you check out by running the items over the scanner. If you want your kid to "play" then go to the self-checkout line and tie that one up not one of the few lines with actual cashier people working.

I can't stand people who stand so very close when you are checking out and using a debit or credit card. I have asked very nicely at least 2 people to please step back while I was using my card. Both times they were very nice and apologized.

Did you back away from her when she tried to hand you her money?

We had someone go poo on the floor in our store yesterday. :scared1: I just can't imagine the person who would actually pull their pants down and do their business on the salesfloor of a retail store. Some people shouldn't be allowed out in public.:sad2:

I had a customer pee on the floor of the dressing room in the bridal shop once. After she came out, she said she had peed in the room so that we could clean it up before someone else went in..."sorry, I just couldn't hold it."

Do like I had to do once to stop customers from walking off with our pen (would work with co-workers too) Decorate the heck out of the pen. Big HUGE flower on top, some ribbons and maybe even bells so you know if it walks off.

hasn't stopped some of mine from walking away.

Office rude behavior....

Coming into my office talking....seeing I'm on the phone and continue talking:confused:. I am amazing I know (:rotfl:) but I can not hold two conversations at the same time.

I guess my post got deleted because one of the people who was apparently causing trouble was arguementitive with me as well, after only one post of mine. So I will repeat my "rude public behaviors" and hope that I don't get flamed again.

People who hog the ATM with multiple transactions while there is a line of other people waiting...People who talk to a waitress/waiter like they are servents instead of servers...The guy sitting behind me on an airplane who constantly has to knee the back of my seat...Also on an airplane, people who don't turn their phones off after the flight attendants have said to...They are the rudest...People in the airport terminal who sit in one chair, and place bags in the chairs on each side, then use another bag as their personal ottoman, blocking the walkway so others have to walk around them.

Someone brought up people who park their cars in front of stores dropping off and/or waiting for others. Now I guess if it is for an elderly person this is ok, but I agree that in most cases this is very rude. But to park your car in front of the store entrance so your lazy wife can wheel her cart behind and load all of the groceries in a red zone is just wrong. I see this every time I go to a grocery store.

I'm not sure what is worse, rude behavior or selfishness. I actually think in most cases the two are linked. Most rude people only think of themselves. The are not considerate of others. This is especially true of people's use of cell phones. Talking loud, holding up lines at stores, conducting business in public places and then expecting the public to be quiet and courteous.

A note to the MODERATOR TEAM;
Apparently you decided to delete some, but not all of the posts that were part of the craziness over the last couple of days. Not sure why my 2 posts were included. If you are going to get all censor happy, at least PM me to let me know if I have done something wrong. Somebody called my post contradictive. I politely replied that their arguementitive behavior was part of the problem. Not sure if I did something wrong or if you were reacting to the other person's argumentitiveness.

Just curious...Do your grocery stores have "loading" zones for groceries, or is that just a northeast thing? This is actually a real common thing here. Not right in front of where people would go in, but still close to the store entrance. The store where I shop has a very large covered area, so people can pull up, usually in bad weather and load their cars. I'll use it when it's raining or snowing. You can't stay parked there..it's just meant to load groceries and go.

I had a rude customer last night. There was a guy in, demanding a refund. Now this was about two minutes before we closed, I was by myself, and I can't do refunds, (don't have the authority to.) Anyway, this guy was being really rude. I kept on telling him sorry, but he'd have to come back today. Granted, I think they should have someone being able to do refunds and other misc things like Coin Star vouchers, (my store's really strict about these things now since so many people were abusing our previous policies,) but there wasn't anybody else there.

Basically, this guy thought something had scanned wrong, which I'm not sure it did, since that was never actually checked, I had a line, and he interrupted me while I was waiting on another customer. (Something else I hate.) But he was sooo rude, and it was only like $1, and he was actually only making a big deal about some change. Sure, if he's right he's entitled to a refund, but there was really no need to take it out on me, (and it was a computer mistake, not mine, if the guy was right about the price. But was it really necessary to flip out at me for a few cents?

5. Adults who order a childs item for themselves. (This may be my all-time biggest pet peeve.) It says "child" for a reason. You are not a kid, although you do act like one.

I am an adult and believe me I would love to eat of the Childs menu at times not because I am childish or act like one. Just because there are alot of times I just cant eat that much. No I dont have an eating disorder or I am a skinny person that wears a size zero. I just dont like eating alot of food. I dont even finish a hamburger from McDonalds most of the time I will eat about half of it take the meat out of it and leave the other half of the bun. So why shouldnt I be able to get a childs meal if thats all I am going to eat. (my general meal at McDonalds now is a snack wrap small fries and a small coke. Still I cant finish it all)

It was easier to address all of the posters on this thread in Post 206:

If your posts were deleted then they were either argumentative, sarcastic, or attacked someone.

Since there was a general explanation/warning in post 206, any further posts that are argumentative, sarcastic, rude, or contain personal attacks will be deleted with an infraction.

Guest comes up to the counter to ring something up, happily chatting away on her cell phone....

Seriously now - I don't know what to do when someone comes to my register while on the phone! Do I talk to them like I would if they weren't on the phone? ie - Do you have your rewards card? I mean, am I rude for talking to them, or am I rude if I just process the transaction without addressing them??

I do think they're being inconsiderate to people behind them & it's just rude to pretend I'm not there, but I really want to conduct MYSELF in a respectful manner. Thoughts?

I switch back and forth between two things...I either talk louder or I don't say a word. It's possible that either one of those "reactions" might be considered rude to the customer, but I really don't know what else to do since their conversation on the phone is preventing me from being able to do my job correctly when I'm ringing them up. :confused3 But that's a whole 'nother conversation.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Or in the parking lot, I don't want to see it or step in it, or when people in front of me open their car door and spit...it makes me gag every time. YUCK!

My other big one is smokers who throw their cigarette butts out of their car.:furious: If it is too gross to go in the ashtray, then maybe rethink putting it in your mouth. I hate to see piles of cigarettes when I am stopped at a light because people think the world is their ashtray. Thank you to the smokers that properly dispose of their cigarettes.

Wow, that does feel better!

Just to let you know, most, if not all, new cars don't come with Ashtrays anymore.
