Rude Parade watchers

My parade story:

November, 1995, Magic Kingdom, evening parade (don't remember which one). It's 30 minutes or so before the parade is to begin and DH and I are strolling Main Street looking for a spot from which to watch the parade. We find a spot near Casey's and stand on the sidewalk near the street and from behind us we hear fussing about how we are blocking their view. This older couple is sitting on a ledge against the building complaining about how they have been waiting there for 20 minutes and how terrible we are for standing in front of them. Mind you, we were 6 feet away from them. I guess they thought the spot they claimed extended the entire 8 feet from the building to the street. I'm not sure about some of these people.

I have posted this one before, but I think it truly falls in the rude catergory.
We were going to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. We picked a spot in front of the green rod iron fence on main street facing the castle. Its fenced in so that means nobody should be in that area behind us. DH had been standing for quite awhile so he squatted down for a minute. A girl about 8-10ish stepped on his back as she was walking along the rail of the fence. Where were her parents?

We were there I think for the Remember the Magic parade and had been sitting on the curb on Main Street actually for at least an hour, protecting our spot. Even then I had trouble walking, so it was very good to get sat down. Anyway, this lady shoves a stroller into my back and says, "Please move." I'm like, "Huh?" "I want to cross the street with my stroller." I told her, "That is what crosswalks are for. You go down to one and you cross the street." Then she started to get nasty. "You are not going to get up???" "Uh no." After sitting for an hour on the ground, I doubted I could get up even if I wanted to, not in a short amount of time anyway. Even when I could walk really well, getting up after your feet are kinda cramped is difficult Anyway, I repeated my assertion that the crosswalk was for crossing. "I'm too tired to walk to the crosswalk!" "Well lady, I'm too tired and have trouble getting up, so sorry." She started cussing at me and finally went away. I couldn't believe people. If she'd asked kindly to begin with, I might have considered it, but not with her attitude.

We staked out a spot for the share a dream parade last week about 45 minutes before hand. My 4 year old really wanted to see it. anyway I parked us right next to the garbage. I figured it was our best bet. My daughter had a perfect spot in her stroller next to it. Some people did try to push up on us. But I held my ground.::yes::
