one of the reasons i always make sure I get the person's name i am dealing with before i do anything. and i would be considered a worldphile as we stay on property at least three times a year. yet I have never gotten any upgrades or discounts because of it. I personally feel that disney cm's on both coasts need retraining. Not because of lack of respect as much as lack of pride in their work. and I think the idea of quotas for ressies is rediculous. most people calling for the first time are doing so in order to get a price quote and not necessarily book. and since the calls come in randomly, you don't really know what you are getting.

Keep in mind that in the Florida labor market, employers get what they pay for - and The Rat is notoriously stingy regarding wages....and WDW seems to not care and also tolerates the resulting high turnover rate to get 'new do-be mice' whose pixie dust is new and hasn't rapidly worn off - which in a disproportionate way will rapidly occur it certainly seems.

I'm pretty sure that the parade taping was announced some time ago - maybe a month or more? But I don't think that Disney heavily publicizes the fact.

As for chatting with the ressie CMs - there is plenty of time to do that while they wait for that 1970s era computer to call up your information. That's why it probably thinks Kevin went back in time and went to WDW 15 times in its first year of operation - because the computer is stuck in 1972!

NOBODY on this message board can help make CM's better at their jobs. But you can by simply reporting how your interaction was displeasing or unpleasant to the above address. Note times, dates and names of people you were dealing with.

Simply posting on a mostly anonymous internet message board won't really help much.

Not to toot our own horn, but most times you are better off looking around the DIS. The dates for the Christmas parade taping were posted here (on this very TPA&S message board) several times on the weekend.

To be quite honest, I never knew what Pop Warner WAS till I started coming to this message board. I'm sure there are thousands of Disney employees who still have no idea what it is, because they have no reason to know.

Posts about the Florida labor market, what it's like to work for the mouse, etc.. are not related them to Theme Park Attractions OR Strategies. This thread has wandered pretty far from the original post.

As such, I'm ending this thread here.
