Rude CM at CRO when trying to use a code (m)

I just tried using a new code posted on Mousesavers (I wont say which one here - but it was for the package). The CM said and I quote " This code is not available for the general public, so you need to go to whatever website you found this on and tell them." I asked if he could let me know who the discount was good for and he said no. Let me tell you - I wasn't feeling the disney magic *sigh* So, anyway, FYI to those of you wanting to try that new code. Maybe you will have better luck than me. Alas, I will get a discount code for late July yet!

I would call again. I have called and got one answer from CRO. Hung up and called back minutes later and got a total different answer. So don't give up, mousesavers is usually right on with the codes.

Talked to CM Avery in CRO - still no go. She was shocked I had the code. She said it wasn't a public code, it was one that would come up to them sometimes while they were working on a reservation (what that means??). She said that for my dates (7/30-8/3) that they would start releasing codes April/May if it looked like things weren't selling out on their own. She asked me where I got the code and I told her. She told me not to put much stock in Mousesavers codes (which I know isn't true). So - I move on trying to get my AKL Savanna view.....

I would contact Mary at Mousesavers and let her know what kinds of problems you are having booking this pkg with those codes, maybe she can help you with it...don't give up just yet!

I had the same response (and very rudely at that). I have emailed Mary letting her know of the problem. I am also trying to get it through a travel agent so we'll see if that works.

It's not just you. I've heard from several people today who have had trouble booking the two new package codes.

A couple of travel agents tell me they have been booking these new codes all day, but they say it has been a hassle. The problem is a combination of the CRO system being goofed up today, unhelpful CRO reservations people, and very limited availability for these codes. They only work at certain hotels for certain dates, apparently. Think of it as kind of a "clearance sale." You might not get the color or size you want! The new codes ARE available to the public, though.

I just changed the info on MouseSavers to mention how restricted the availability is, and to suggest that people book these particular codes ONLY through a travel agent. Let the travel agent do all the calling and trying to hassle this out with Disney!

It is a nightmare. finally after 4 calls I got a super CM who went the extra mile. I got Contemporary tower 11/1-11/4/02 3 nights with two adults. Includes tower room, passes and flex feature. The total with tax is 1167.00. The passes are full price but the room rate went from 325.00 night plus tax to 204.00 night plus tax. The Discovery Magic package was 1521.00. This was a major headache to try to do.

I attemped to use the code ending in "J" (we already are staying at the WL for 8 nights in November). I have two ressies, Resort Magic through DTC and room only through CRO. First CM "lectured" me for having two reservations. I ignored her. Called back again, second CM (CRO) told me it wasn't available for my times. Third CM (CRO) told me (after quite a bit of searching) that this is an upsell and that basically you have to be asking for a Value or Moderate, then they mention the upsell. She was wonderful and did try to look at the Values and Moderates, but nothing came up for my times.

I tried 5 times to get this code with no luck. I finally got a knowledgeable CM on my 5th try and was able to book the WL wooded view with Resort Magic for 2 adults, for 9 nights in September for $2727.

I am so excited! Thanks so much for posting this code on mousesavers, Mary!
