Rte 128 has changed - ahhhhh-- best time to avoid rush hour?

That is one heck of a ride. Mass Pike isnt too bad, can go along at 70-75 and not worry about the cars on the side of you zigzagging across in front of you.
But man that 128 is terror! Seems cars go slower than Mass Pike but they cut across more. We drove it Sat at both 930am and then back home at 230pm and I had forgotten how bad it is. Today we get to drive it again at about 1130am (at least it's after the morn rush hr) and then hopefully back home again after 5pm.

Any suggestions on best time to start our drive from Salem to Natick to avoid the afternoon rush hour traffic?

I don't think there is any good time to be on 128!!! I avoid it at all costs. It's like a high speed demolition derby. No advice for you but you do get my sympathies in having to drive it. Good luck.

better make it well after 5 pm...closer to 6:30 or so...even the Pike will be conjested then Sorry
