RSVP date help

Hi all! In our contract it says "final details due 8 weeks before wedding".
Does this mean you have to have the final numbers of guests attending?

I'm trying to figure out what date to put on my RSVP's!

Technically your final numbers aren't due til 3 days before the wedding, so don't sweat it!

But most of us put an RSVP date of at least 2 months before so we know how much to pay DFTW one month before. (You get a refund/charge if your numbers go up or down after you pay, but it's nice to pay for the right amount of people the first time!)
