We haven't been in a year. Spent last year doing the world. How long are fast passes lasting? I couldn't find a search button on the new layout.

The Search feature is still disabled/not active on the new boards. The webmasters said it would take at least 48-hours to finish setting that up.

In terms of RSR FPs, they are lasting longer into the day now. Folks have intermittently reported still being able to get one in the early afternoon. I think how long they last depends on when the park open and how busy it is. That being said, I would still plan to get there within the first two hours of when the park opens.

I'm still getting use to using MouseWait.
Does the MouseWait app have a feature that tells when FP's are gone for the day?

Like any app that relies on user supplied information, it might not always show the current/accurate FP status. It does include FP information (approximate return times, I think) under the name of the attraction. However, I don't know how reliable the information is unfortunately. For example, right now, it says "No Fastpass Available" for CA Screamin' with a last posted return time of 4:21 pm. First off, it seems unlikely that Screamin' wouldn't have FPs still available at this point in the day and FP return times aren't down to the single minute. So I'm not really sure what is meant by that information.

I think Ask Otto might also provide FP information. I haven't tried calling Otto (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/07/got-a-disneyland-resort-question-just-ask-otto/), but that seems like it might be another good information source to have handy.

From what I have read on other posts the RSR FP are lasting longer into the day. The last time we were there we had to get in line well before rope drop then line up inside the park for our FP and if you were not there early they would run out within a 1/2 hour or so:eek:

They stopped allowing guests to line up pre-park opening at the start of last summer. They've also stop distributing FPs when RSR is down. So if RSR is not open when the park opens, they do not distribute FPs either. Combining those things, along with connecting RSR to the DCA FP system, really seems to have affected RSR FP distribution duration. I remember when the FPs used to run out in the first 30 minutes too (you basically had to get in line pre-park opening or you would miss out), but those days seem to be over. I still wouldn't wait to long into the day, but I think on most days you'll be safe as long as you get there within the first 90 to 120 minutes of park opening.

This makes me happy :) I know I am going to have to do the FP for Anna and Elsa (dreading that!) so I am happy to hear about the RSR FP's. Last trip I rode it only once I was so sick the last day in the park. Missed out on it...MUST do it again!! Multiple times :)

On a typical day you should be able to get a RSR fastpass between 12pm-1pm. After that it may sell out.

When you say a "typical day" do you mean any day regardless of when DCA opened I ask because I could see FPs lasting until noon or so on a day when DCA opens at 10:00 am, but I'm not as sure they'll last that long on days when DCA opens at 8:00 am.

If a park opens at 10am that means there will be more people arriving at park opening.

In my experience and by asking Cast Members multiple times the RSR FP usually ends around 2pm. I recommend 12-1pm to be on the safe side.

I love reading this! We haven't tried since March 2013 and ended up waiting in standby forever because the FP sold out so fast. My son is finally tall enough to take him on it and it looks like we may actually be in luck! This is seriously the best ride as far as I'm concerned and my almost 5-year-old is going to be thrilled.

Last week park opened at 10am and at 2pm I was able to get one for 520pm.
Monday park opened at 10am and when I walked by at 1100, it was showing return time of 530pm. Standby line was 45-55minutes most of the day.
