RSR closed?

Update: So today there was some rain in the morning before DCA opened today.. Radiator Springs never opened at all yet, so we went to do other things. I periodically checked the Lines app and went back to cars land two or three times to check on updates. Finally saw that they were testing the ride at about 1 o'clock. Decided to hang around cars land and check it out as they were turning people away from RSR. They finally opened the ride alittle after 2 and we were the first batch of a few hundred without a fast pass to get in line. They were letting many more people with a fast pass through the line than usually, obviously to make up for the ride being down the whole day. The wait was maybe about 30 minutes and when we got out the posted time was 105 minutes. It rained again around 4:45 and I checked the lines app and someone posted the ride was closed, so for whatever reason RSR can't run safely when it's raining it seems.. Sorry for the long post just wanted to let people know my experience so if it is raining they may want to try other things because Disney won't tell you the situation until the park officially opens.

If you're IN the park - Disney's *official* Mobile Magic app has the actual posted times.

I've read many posts here that disney's official info. (as usual) can often be wrong. They have listed wait times for rides that turn out to be closed. We plan to try MouseWait since it had the most recommendations when this question has been asked several times on these boards. Of course, someone could try both (or even more apps) and compare. Those that have while in the parks said MouseWait is more accurate. I hope so since we are going to rely on the majority vote and use it.

Just wanted to share that Wednesday I got fast passes for RSR with a return time of 6:55 pm. When we showed up to ride it was down and closed. So disappointing. But, at least 2 CMs told me that they would honor the fast pass the next day. So, yesterday it was closed all morning because of the wet track and I had pretty much given up hope that we would be able to ride. We decided to wander over there in the early afternoon to see what was going on and just as we did it opened! They took our fast passes no problem and were on the ride in under 10 minutes.

We were told the same thing. But I think it's a good idea to point out that a special exception was being made because RSR had been down for several hours just prior to closing, at least that's what the CM we talked to said. I'd hate for folks to think they can always bring back FP's from previous days and expect them to be honored.

That is very true, I didn't mean to mislead anyone into thinking that. We had one of the very last return times at 6:55 pm, maybe that had something to do with it. We were just at the right place at the right time. But, if they honored them this time, I don't think it would hurt to ask if that situation were to ever arise again.

How are the lines during early morning hours for those staying on site?
