RSHEALAND live @BLT with PICS

I really enjoyed your photos! May I ask what camera & lens you used? We went to WDW in July 09 and took pics with a simple point & shoot. And the pics are so so. I think I definitely need to get one of the D-SLR cameras. Again, thanks for sharing your terrific photos of your vacation! It's gonna be a while before we head out to WDW anytime soon. We have a DD who is 9 months old so she won't be flying for a little while. In the mean time, we'll just enjoy your awesome pictures.

You should start with a low end Dslr. You can get a good one for $400-500. Any thing higher then that and it's a waste of money if you don't know how to use the features on a Dslr. There are camera bodies out there that are over $4000:eek:. And if you have ever seen a sporting event on TV or in person, one of those BIG white lens you see a photographer have will run you used about $12,000:scared1:. I now use a Canon Rebel Xsi with a Tamron 18-270 VC and a Canon 18-55 IS. The Tamrom will run $500+ new.

More then likely you use your P&S on one setting. I'm just saying it takes a lot of playing to get the other functions to work. So look at what you can afford and look into see if and friends and family have a Dslr and see if you can get it a try. Just an idea.:thumbsup2

Those are wonderful photos, thank you! I especially love the ones of the different F & W kiosks. They don't look at all crowded. What day of the week were you there and what time of day, if you don't mind me asking. We will be there the first week of Nov. and would love to avoid the big crowds. I'm assuming early on a weekday?

Thanks again! :goodvibes

Rshealand....are you still there??????? I am soooooo jealous if you are!!!! :rotfl:

That Strudel was so delicious!! I wanted to bring everything home from that shop!!!

These pictures are from a mix of cameras. Most of the animal and fireworks photos are with a Nikon D3000 DSLR with a Tamron 70-300 lense. The pictures of the sunrise/sunset and F&W pictures are with a Sony H55 P&S. There are a few that were shoot with our HTC Android cell phones.

They really are fantastic shots. I need a "faster" lens for my next trip. My night shots weren't good at all.

I've been following your TR since the beginning and I have to say how much I've enjoyed reading it. Your pics are stunning!! I can't wait to read more and see more of your pics. Thanks for sharing!!

You know until I went to the 3D Dessert Discovery earlier this month I had never noticed that building behind Canada. Watching the Illuminations fireworks with 3D glasses was great! It was like it was raining hidden Mickeys.

Thanks for the great pics. And now I'm hungry. I keep thinking about the Barramundi at the Australia Kiosk.

That building contains the Soarin ride.
