I keep reading about huge wait times; we will be visiting during Spring break. We will arrive at Universal at 9am; with RRnR be open, and what are the wait times likely to be?

Guessing it's comparable to The Hulk as in if you arrive at opening, you'll be fine with a 5-15 minute wait?

5-15 minute wait?? Spring Break?? for that roller coaster?? hahah:rotfl2: u will have to wait like 3 hours to ride it lol

The lines will be huge right away first thing in the morning. That is where everyone goes immediately.

Right, but we intend to be there AT opening...so we will be those that go there immediately?

Are you seriously telling me that if we go for opening, and head straight to RRnR we expect an hour or so wait? :confused3:

Is there a better time to ride?

We went at spring break last year and walked on The Hulk with a 5 minute wait at opening? Same for Spidey, and The Simpsons. In fact, we never waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction. We were there all week?

Only difference is the last two times we were there it did not open when the park opened, it opened around 11:00. By 10:00 the line was curved back and forth through the grass area by the stage. Even if you get there when the park opens and head right to the ride, you will have to wait in the line they form outside the ride until it opens which may be a few hours, or get on it when it finally does open, and by then it was 2 hrs both of the times we went (End of August and early November, both weekdays).

Why isn't the ride opening when the park opens like the majority of the other headlining rides?

They were still working on getting the ride running smoothly. Hopefully by spring break it will be running smoothly and will be opening with the park. The capacity of the ride is much lower than Hulk, or Spidey or even Simpsons.

That's pretty shocking given the ride has been supposed to be running for over 6 months now. :sad2:

I know it's going to be busy, but I figured that our usual touring plan of arriving at opening and hitting the key headliners would work. We had a great time in the parks at last spring break and never waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction. I'm not prepared to stand in line for an hour to ride. Life's too short :rotfl:

Well, this worries me. :guilty: We're staying at the Hard Rock in May, and therefore will have the Express Pass. I had still planned on us getting there at opening, just to ride this, but if it's already going to have an hour-long line...

Who knows what it will be like by then. They are still working at increasing capacity. The problem was that the ride was supposed to have a continually loading system but that system hasn't worked like it was supposed to. Not sure what their plans are to improve but in high crowds, I would really keep an eye on the waiting times. We rode it several times by using the single rider's line and waiting under 1/2 hour each time. We'll be there again in a month. I'll keep you posted if we notice any changes. When we were there in late August the ride had only been opened a few weeks and there were still many issues.

It certainly isn't a ride worth waiting an hour for, IMHO. Don't waste your time on it unless you have lots of time to waste!

We'll have some free time next month.. but my 7 yo will not want to wait for an hour for any ride!!

OK I'm throwing my 2 cents in, we just got back yesterday spent 2 nights at Hard Rock, went to the parks sat 9th, sun 10th & mon 11th.

Ride was closed saturday due to technical difficulties, sunday was closed due the weather (so was the hulk) and monday I had an hour window before we left for the airport so I go off to the park hoping for third time lucky, woo hoo I can see the cars going round, get to the ride its a 60min wait, but aha I have FOTL stayed at HRH, but no they don't have an express queue yet was told that the ride was too new. And the single rider line wasn't open. I can't believe they don't have that sorted, we pay alot of $$$ to stay onsite for that perk and now I can't use it  hopefully they will have it sorted by May and you'll be ok fayt19.

I was pretty peeved to be honest! Didn't have my friend with me to hold my bag I wasn't going to pay for a locker and it was cutting it a bit fine time wise, so I went and rode The Mummy, MIB & the simpsons instead! was really looking forward to riding it, oh well there is always next time!

But good luck to the OP I think if you get there early you have a chance!

Ok sorry I rambled(ranted) a bit long so sorry!!

Wow.. I certainly hope they get all of this sorted out by next month!!! It seems to me that may have pushed the opening a bit to early??? I would have been VERY UPSET if I would not have gotten a chance to ride it..

Here's to hoping they work out all the kinks in the coming weeks!!!

I agree. We went late Aug/early Sept and I asked if maybe the FOTL line would be up by Christmas, and was told probably. I can't believe how they're dragging their feet on this.
Every time we tried to ride, it was 90+ mins. Even arriving at gate at 8:55am, the line was already long and winding all over the grass and finally had to get out of line after they announced it would be down until prob 2 pm.

I've given up and will ride whenever we get back there and use FOTL.

Anyone have any idea what the problem with the "loading system" is about? Why is it taking so long to get this thing working like it should? How long has it been "open".. since October? So here we are three months later, and it still isn't running like it should?

The problem seems to be that people just take too long to load. The moving platform just doesn't seem to give them enough time. Hopefully staff can figure out some way around this. There isn't any physically wrong with the ride itself, it is just that they need to find a way to get people loading more quickly.

So they are going to add an Express entrance? Do they typically not add Express to new rides?

If you have seen pictures, there is an express entrance already. They just can't accept express yet. It was designed to have it.

FYI, this weekend we got in line for Universal at 8:30 am, were the first people inside the park, and were able to ride RRR twice by 9:20am.
