I have to make my first post, a praise of a hotel, but I had to share my experience with people who are making plans to travel to the Royal Pacific Resort.

We booked a 7 nights at the RPR, through Univacations.com and everything was smooth. Until I realized that they only had our reservations for 6 nights.

I tried to email univacations, and received less than stellar results. As a last ditch effort, I emailed Jennifer Hodges, the Director of Public Relations for the three Universal hotels, and explained my situation, and how I couldn't believe I didn't notice it on the confirmation. We were not sure if Univacations was at fault, because we triple checked this information before we paid our deposit, but it was tough getting a straight answer from someone.

I just received a phone call from Univacations, and apparently she forwared the email to them. They charged me $190 for the last night, which I accepted, as it's a lot less than the going rate for that sunday. I was amazed, when they told me that they had taken $200 off the total bill, in effect, giving us a free night.

So, I just want to say that Royal Pacific Resort stepped up BIG for us, and turned a bad situation into something amazing!
