RPR Room Question

We will be staying at the Royal Pacific for the first time July 10-15. First time onsite period. I have been reading these boards since January and enjoy all of the tips etc. I am going to be doing the Mastercard buy 4 get 5th night free for 234.00 night. Pricey but hopefully worth it. I will be purchasing the 7 day tickets from RCI through Mousesavers. I have researched and believe this is our best deal as we will get almost 6 full days in the parks due to the way our flights arrive and leave. This is a VERY IMPORTANT vacation for my family as we have had an extremely difficult and tragic year. My daughter's boyfriend will be traveling with us and he lost his mother this past year and already had an absent father so he has moved in with our family as that was his only option to stay in the state to finish school, my husband and I both changed jobs and the list goes on. Needless to say we want this vacation to go without a hitch. My questions are as follows: We have our heart set on the greatest room we can get for the money which HAS to be a room with a view of the park. I have read this room 1733 has one but does anybody have another one which would be better? We would love to get club but can't afford it. What are the chances for any kind of upgrade and how do we get it? Also when and how do I let my room request be known to get the best chance of getting the request? I would genuinely appreciate any and all advice and will put it to good use. Thanks so much in advance!

Room 1733 or 1633, 1729. 1629 will all give you a view of IOA, City Walk and some of US in the distance. You will overlook the waterway the water taxi takes to City Walk. 1733 and 1633 are the last room at the very end of the hall, so it is very quiet. You just walk out of your room, down the stairway which is right there, and you're on the path for your pleasant walk to City Walk and the parks. I faxed my room request. I can't remember the fax number, but I know I got it on the Loew's Hotels website.

I have had good luck faxing the request about 4 days prior to arrival.

We waited until about five days before our arrival to fax our request.

I know if you call the hotel direct they will place your requests in the comments field of your reservation. I dont think it would hurt to do that now and then maybe send a fax a few days before as a reminder. Good Luck getting the room you want.
