RPR problems

We booked over the phone with RPR and brought our confirmation info with us. It was the "deal with it, it's all we have" attitude that gave me a bad impression. There was something going on with valet parking that the person checking us in was much more concerned with than getting us into the room we booked.

perhaps if enough people follow up after an unsatisfactory experience, they will resolve what seems to be an issue with providing the rooms that people book:confused3

hate to think they are overbooking as a matter of course:confused: ; we experienced it as well as numerous other posters since end of June. (I did track down a manager after our stay & received apology & invite back; not sure i'd have returned to RPR if they hadn't extended it though).

Anyone have recent issues @ HRH or PB?

I agree with Keishashadow. Hopefully more people will be vocal about this. That is just not right to have such an indifferent attitude about customer service. If I book a double queen, I expect a double queen.

I remember a few years ago, there was a spate of reports here of RPR going through an overbooking period. People were being moved to the Peabody and other offsite hotels. But enough people complained and it seemed to have stopped for the most part...until now.

Although, I still believe that Loews far surpasses any chain I have stayed at for customer service, and we have stayed at almost all numerous times. Anytime I have had a complaint and have brought it up to Loews mgt, they have bent over backwards to rectify it.

Yep this happened to me last week. We requested a Park view room, didn't get it. Got an ok view of the moat, but it wasn't the same, I like to be able to see the park from the room. Probably has a lot to do with going in a peak time as well. But next time I may stand my ground.

We had the opposite experience...we booked a king waterview room. When we arrived, we requested an upper level, park view and ended up with am upper level beautiful king room with a great view of the pool and Hulk =)
