We are staying at this resort in early Dec. and wsas wondering what breakfest options are available???
We are more interested in quickly grabbing a bite to eat and going to the parks and i havent seen much about this so any info would be greatly appreicated.
And overall how is the resort??

Right off the lobby is an area--I forget the name, maybe Orchid Court? They sell coffe, tea, muffins, etc. Islands restaurant has a good breakfast buffet. Both US and IOA have bakeries right inside the entrance. They sell all sorts of pastries and also have breakfast sandwiches--egg and cheese, etc.

Hi Bob O!
We're going in early Dec too- 12/5-12/11 to be precise! We plan on skipping breakfast most days and having an early lunch to beat the crowds. Works for us at WDW so I assume it will work at US/IOA too!
Are you excited? We cant wait!!!!

Thanks for the info, and i also cant wait!!!
We arelooking for a palce to get a quick breakfest so we can hit the parks running and dont want to spend the time it would take at a buffet.

on another poster's suggestion, i shipped food and supplies to myself at the resort. saved us alot of money because i had breakfast, some lunch foods, and lots of snacks and beverages that were way too heavy to try and take and i wouldn't have a car while there. it also helped save alot of time. i had granola bars, fruit, and cereal for the kids. they sell a 16oz cup of milk in the orchid lounge and the kids would run down before bed and buy it. we filled up the ice bucket and submerged it. they were open late so we could buy it late and it was ice cold still in the morning. we saved so much time and the kids aren't big eaters anyway. hope this helps!

I drove to the drive thru McDonald's on Sandlake and back in 15 minutes. The smell was an excellent alarm clock.

That's one thing I wish the hotels would have - an alternate place to have breakfast. I find the buffets too much food and too much money, but I would like something more than a muffin. It's too bad that they don't offer an "in between" type of place for breakfast.
