Trying to decide between regular room and club level...I can't seem to find much specific info on RPR Club...
I am assuming rooms are the same size as standard rooms?

Is the concierge helpful for dinner reservations, etc?

How is the lounge?? Is it a nice place to sit/read/converse etc?

What types of food offerings are there?

What hours is the lounge open?

Any specific info would really be appreciated.

We have stayed in club level a couple of times and love it.

Rooms are the same, you may get a pool view or I-4 view - luck of the draw and all are priced the same.

Is the concierge helpful for dinner reservations, etc?

Concierge will be very helpful with dinner reservations, they always have two to three staffers there to help with questions, take care of the food, tidy up etc.

How is the lounge?? Is it a nice place to sit/read/converse etc?

Great lounge, two large TV's at each end with DVD players and a sofa to sit on. Lots of DVD's to borrow for free. Some tables to eat and a reading area with comfy chairs and newspapers.

What types of food offerings are there?

Breakfast is fruit, cerial and danish. Soda and water during the day. Evenings have cheeses, nacho chips and dip and some usually salad with chicken - and of course free beer and wine between 6:00 and 8:00 pm I think. Cookies later.

We usually have a late big lunch at Margarittaville and just snack in the lounge for dinner.

We were thinking of RPH club this summer. Is it often crowded? Was there always enough food? We went to the RPH last summer and really loved it, however the room was kind of small for 5. The club could certainly help with this. Any suggestions? (I am deciding between the club level or 2 rooms. Can they guarantee that the 2 room will connect?)
I was trying to talk my kids into the HRH because I think the rooms are bigger
(and I like to try new things) but my kids are adament! BTW, we are going July 6-8, a busy time I know!

A room for 5 is tight at the RPR, but we (family of 4) spent most of our awake hours at the club lounge when at the hotel. I would think the extra cost of the club lounge would save a ton over two rooms.

The lounge was never that crowded, worst it ever was during when the nightly food first came out and again at "last call" during free beer/wine time. Aside from then it was never crowded.

I don't know if the Club level will guarantee connecting rooms - we have had to stay off the club floor once (but with club priveliges) because they were out of our requested room. A pain but we survived.

What other food evening offerings are there? Do you get comp. valet parking? How are the rooms, anything special as comp. to a standard room? We are looking to stay for a few days and this will be our first stay onsite.

What other food evening offerings are there?

Assorted Cheeses and crackers, nacho's, a salad maybe with chicken. It's snack food, not meant to be dinner (we eat a late lunch and just snack).

Do you get comp. valet parking?

Nope.

How are the rooms, anything special as comp. to a standard room?

Rooms are the same as elsewhere. You can't reserve a pool view, but on the other hand you may luck out and get a pool view at the same price. We have been 50/50 with views.

Still trying to decide here. Keep going back and forth.
NEED HELP! We have 3 girls 9,7 and 2 years. We are staying at the HRH for 4 nights (one day at the cabana pool)
We were planning on getting a Deluxe room for $199/night APH rate for the 5 of us.
But I keep being tempted by this club level stuff! I am just concerned we won't be around at night for the "happy hour" food/drinks etc..I'm sure we will catch it in the AM before hitting the parks, so the kids can have breakfast there every morning.
Can the kids hang out and watch movies in the lounge? Is it packed or empty? Can you bring food back to your room to eat? Can you bring food/drinks down to the pool every day?
I know there is wine/beer time for 2 hours, is there food offered all day too? Snacks for the kids?
OK, last question...I saw the virtual tour of the Deluxe room and it didn't appear to have a seperate living room area or 2nd TV for the kids. It looks like they just stuck a couch in the corner.
Would you stay at the Deluxe room for the 100sf extra? Or pay $50/more a night to stay in a standard room size on club level? (I figure we probably can use the $50 a day to cover the food/drinks the club would provide, but I'm not sure)
Thanks for anyone's help!!! :earboy2:

Do you have special check in for club level guests like you do at disney with concierge guests?

Wow - lots of questions:

Can the kids hang out and watch movies in the lounge?

Yes

Is it packed or empty?

Busy during happy hour - plenty of room all other times.

Can you bring food back to your room to eat?

I suppose so, but the lounge is nicer than our room so why bother.

Can you bring food/drinks down to the pool every day?

There is not that much food - it mostly snacks. Many of the beverages are in glass bottles - not a good idea at the pool.

I know there is wine/beer time for 2 hours, is there food offered all day too?

Food is at breakfast and evenings - just sodas and water at other times.

Snacks for the kids?

Not really unless they are into fruit.

I would spend the money on club level versus a deluxe room.

No special check-in but I'm a Loews member which has a special line. Never was any faster when we checked in.

Good luck.

Great info...we are still debating!
I might try for a club upgrade when I get there. I have a good deluxe rate.
Sounds like the kids would really like the club lounge to hang out in etc..
