We are planning our very first trip to Universal for May of 2014. I know I want to stay at Rpr. The club level was about 100 more a night. we stayed club level at the Polynesian before and really loved it to get a quick breakfast and head to the parks. how does RPR club level compare to poly?
Also if we want a quick breakfast how much would it be for a family of five at a counter service restaurant?

Something to keep in mind...Both the Hard Rock and RPR Club level lounge does not open till 730am..Depending on the time of year and when early entry is it might not even be open before you leave for the park.Portofino Bay Club lounge is a little bit better in that it opens at 7am ( so if early ntry is at 8am you can definitely make it).WE have only stayed at Portofino club and we loved it.Much better than the BC resort club lounge offerings at Wdw .Can't comment on Rpr or Hrh specifically.

We were at RPR two weeks ago and the club level was open at 7am. Food offerings for breakfast were great. Fresh fruit, oatmeal (real not instant), cereals, donuts, bagels, English muffins, Danish, bread for toast, and fresh made cinnamon rolls.

good to know!! Hopefully it is a permanent change.I had originally booked RPR club , when I called they told me 730am and the website said the same so i switched

We did CL one year, as like Disney's, we thought it was a waste. You can get better food (and a better selection) at the buffet downstairs at Islands, and it will cost you less per day than Club Level.
