RPR Check in, pick up tickets?

We're staying off-site for 7 nights starting the middle of next week; plan to go to WDW for 4 days and US/IOA for two. I booked one night at RPR just for FOTL - next Saturday night so we get to use FOTL Sat and Sun. Also used the Viator deal so I have the voucher that needs to be exchanged for our tickets.

What's the best/easiest way for me to do this? The plan is to head out Saturday afternoon (~ 2 p.m.), we'll have a rental car and not be staying in the RPR room. Should I park at RPR, check-in to get our keys, then walk/ferry over to US and pick up our tickets there; can I get our tickets at/near RPR instead?

Would it be easier to park at Universal Studios instead then walk/ferry back to RPR for check-in? How long is the walk/ferry-ride?

Maybe it's better to just pack a small overnight bag and stay at RPR? Appreciate any thoughts on this, thanks!

You are going to pay to park either place...about the same amount of $.

I would take a small overnight bag and stay at the resort 1 night. After all...you are paying for it and it's very nice! That way, you can WALK (or boat) back to the resort instead of driving back to WDW after a day in the park. Besides, if you choose to swim, you will have a place to keep your things and shower.

Personally, I would park at the hotel and check-in and go to the parks and get your tickets. Granted, you'll pay to park 1 night, but if you park in the Universal garage, you're still going to pay to park.
