Day 2 - 7/15 - Tuesday
Woke up with the alarm @ 7:30, but didn't get everyone moving until about 8:00. We decided to head over to IOA and have green eggs and ham for breakfast at Seuss Landing. I had 2 stops to make along the way, though. First to the front desk to find out what happened to the turn down service we were supposed to get. Second to the concierge to see if I could get Thing2's prescription from CVS in New York refilled in Orlando. Both stops were successful. On to IOA. The eggs were pretty green allright, but tasty too. Thing1 and Thing2 both got the kids platter. It was a ham and egg sandwich wrap with fries. $5.79 for each, I think. The Lt. and I got the ham and egg platters which was scrambled eggs, ham and a biscuit. $6.99 each, I think. And 4 cups of ice water...free. Then the gang rode everything they could get their hands on until about 2 when the skies grew dark and the rain came. This seemed to be a good time to get our hands stamped, go back to the hotel, make the run to CVS and grab an early dinner at Flippers pizza. Dinner ran about $20 for pizza and salads. Had a nice conversation with the waitress who said that they always make deliveries to the RPR. We also picked up breakfast items at CVS to last us until the end of our stay. This worked out well and saved us some cash, too. The rain didn't seem to let up, so we went back to IOA with our ponchos on. Stayed until closing. Got back to the room to find that turndown service had been successful. The lights had been dimmed, cool jazz music was playing on the radio, there were more seashell gifts for the girls and the beds were ready to be plopped on. Perfect.
