Rpr 5/9-5/11 Loved It!!!

I just returned from 2 nights at RPR and I cannot say enough good things about this resort! I went with my boyfriend and we chose this resort for proximity to the parks and because it looked romantic. We were not disappointed! We were on the 6th floor in tower 2. Our view wasn't great but we didn't care! The room is a bit small but it was plenty of room for the two of us! We loved the decor and the bed was quite comfy! We spent a lot of time at the pool which was always the perfect temp. On Friday night we watched "Who Framed Roger Rabbitt" at the pool while sipping out Pina Coladas! This was great! If you have kids do this, they will love it!! We had excellent service at the Island dining room (we only ate breakfast here twice. We thought the buffet was really good!). We didn't get to eat at Tchop Chop because it was so busy so we headed over to HRH and had a nice meal at the Palms.

The water taxi service to the parks was great. We also walked to City Walk at night and we enjoyed that too! Nice easy pretty walk along the river.

If you are thinking of staying here, don't hesisitate! It was all that we hoped it would be! We are hooked and will be returning to Universal in 2 months to try out PBH.

Thank you Brynnie for the wonderful review! I am so excited to stay at RPR in July. Did you walk to the parks or ride the boat? Which did you prefer?

I would suggest taking the boat during the day. It was way too hot to walk during the day, but it wasn't so bad at night. You should try both at least once. We really enjoyed the walk. It is really peaceful and pretty. One thing to keep in mind though is that the back gates near the pool area are locked at 11 pm, so you must take another path that veers off up a small hill to get to the lobby entrance. This is not a big deal if you know about it. I read in other posts before I left about people who didn't realize they needed to go the other way and they had to climb the fence to get back in. I thought it was all clearly marked and we had no problems. Have a great time!!!
