Family of 7 + an infant - so we need 2 rooms
2 nights July 22 & 23 -after 4 nights at WDW
WHich would you choose?
RPH -have stayed here before- AAA rate night 1 211.65 night 2 228.65
+tax - std. view
PBH- AAA rate - same for both nights - 258.40 +tax

Help me decide.

I've stayed at the RPH and really enjoyed it. I have not stayed at the PBH but would like to do so. I would pick PBH since the price difference isn't that much more. Plus I like to try out the different resorts.

Have fun deciding!

I've stayed at both twice. Both are lovely but DH and I prefer RPR. We just prefer the theme and the location. The pool area is also more kid friendly IMO and love the Islands Dining Room there more than the restaurants at PBH.

We did a split last July, this was our 2nd stay at PBH. We love RPR and spend our vacation there every year. The split we did last July with PBH, and while the resort is beautiful, it was extremely quiet, and our DD was bored at the pool ,as there was not really much going on, and the Thirsty Fish bar was supposed to be open till 1am and was closing at 11pm as it was that quiet. where as the RPR pool is always busy with lots going on, especially for young ones, and like the pp said ,we also love the themeing at RPR,

We will be there from July 24 - 31. We were able to secure the "Stay More Save More" rate which was much better than AAA. RPH is $188 a night and PBH is $213 a night. We have stayed at both hotels and love them both, but PBH is our favorite. For us, it is worth the small price difference a night to have a slide for our 10 year old and larger rooms. If you are only going to be there 2 nights, then maybe the the price difference on both rooms would buy a meal or two for the family.

We've stayed at the Hard Rock and the PBH and if we did it again we would not choose the PBH - only because of its location. We spent a minimum of 20 minutes going to the parks, when you can walk to them from the HHR in about 5 minutes (Universal - IOA is a bit farther). Given the location of the three resorts, you see where this is going - RPR is closest to IOA whle HHR is closest to US - PBH is not close to either. Location, location, location. . .

That said, the PBH is a wonderful resort - beautiful, quiet, great pool and facilities. If you don't mind the extra travel time I highly recommend it!

PBH is our favorite. Actually we've only stayed at PBH. We visit HRH and RPR on our trips for the pools and such, but the rooms are bigger (especially the bathroom!) at PBH and the atmosphere more relaxing. I enjoy the walk to the parks, which is only a few minutes more - you can always take the ferry which is a good option on the return. You can't go wrong with any of the UO hotels though. Happy deciding! ;)

That's a small price to pay for upgrading to PB:goodvibes

Re activities - I think it depends on when u visit the pool. Slide always seems to be busy. The lifeguards had quite the game of marco polo going last trip in the afternoon...ears ringing, we promptly went to the other 'quieter' pool;)
