I have heard some complaints about parking at this resort. We have booked resort arriving on 6/27 and won't arrive until late at night (approx 10pm). Just curious if anyone has had problems finding a parking space, doesn't the resort guarantee a parking spot for their customers?

We are traveling with our sons, ages 22, 18 and 17. Have we made a wise choice or chould we spend extra and look into HRH or PB. We received a rate of 199pn which incl breakfast.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Debbie,
Am wondering about the parking myself. We will be arriving June 28th thru July 6th. Have heard that parking is a problem for BOTH RP and HRH during the busy season. We stayed at RP last August and the lot was never full - not a problem to park. Are you at Club level for 199.00? We are paying $209.00 for Club which inc. cont. bkfst/happy hour/dessert table in evening.

I have never had a prblem parking at RP. Why do you think you made a mistake booking RP? Because of the parking? HRH's parking is just as bad, PBH is the only one of the three with a huge parking garage. But staying at all three many times we've never had a problem. $199.00 is high for a standard room at RP, did you book club?
I doubt they guarantee a self parking spot but they do have valet parking, plus they have a whole other parking lot by the convention center.

No we are not in club level. Curios as to how you booked such a great rate. I went into Universal site under hotels etc. I also checked travelocity and expedia and some other searches and 199pn was best I could get. Its a waterview room, but not club.
We are only staying 2 nights and than we go down the road to our timeshare property at Marriott Horizons.
Thanks for your help. :)

Try calling 1-800-BE-A-STAR and asking for the entertainment rate. If you get a good rate you can always buy the book for your area, if you don't already have it. I haven't heard of rooms including breakfast. Is it for everyone in your party?

Oh, you probaby had to pay extra $ since you'll have 4 adults in the room.

The $209 rate we are paying is the fan club rate. We booked over the phone thru Loews. Don't know if it would still be available for such a busy time, but for the 10.00 more per night, it would be worth it for you to check. When I made my ressies, standard rooms with ent. card were as low as 110.00 per night.

I can't believe these rates I am reading. We are staying here in April for $224 pn AA rate. How come everyone elses rate seems to be half ours? We are coming from UK so I guess we can't get the special cheap rates.

Why not?? Call again and ask for an entertainment card rate, they just might be sold out on that rate for when you are going. Do you have an AP? Ask for that rate, check the Loew's website also. and keep calling.

We stayed at RPR last summer and we did think parking was bad. Very hard to find a spot and it is hard to get to the parking lot from the hotel - you have to either walk down the driveway or jump off a high curb in front of the hotel directly into the road and then cross. We had way better parking at WDW.

I just returned from RP, it was at near capacity. I had no problem finding a specae and we had two cars with us. there is a walkway from the front entrance of the resort that you follow to the parking lot then a pedestrian walkway to the lot itself. I found it very convenient. Some Disney resorts have awful parking lots that are very far away like GF, WL, BW some have good parking. Really not much of a difference with RP.

if you self park do you still pay the 6.00? Or is that just valet? TIA

Self park is $6 per day, valet is $12 (i think). We used valet once and they charged us for 3 days of valet, when I told the front desk that, they took the extra valet charges off the days we didnt us it.

I never had a hard time finding a spot, we only used valet that one time cause my daughter and I had lots of bags to carry in. Shopping spree at the outlet stores.
