That's only 1250 barrels - literally a drop in the bucket for the King!

Have a great trip! :)

Crazy! We'll be at BWV in two weeks -maybe the king will still be there!!

For the first time EVER!
I have to say, Doc...you're wrong.

It's "only" 1241.3793 barrels at yesterday's close.
Of course....Once his Majiesty realizes that tips are now automatically included in his dinning plan...you can expect to see oil at $ 170 per barrel!
;)

Hasn't anyone told the king about the Disney's "best-kept secret":lmao:
I wonder how many points he would buy if he ever bought into DVC:rolleyes1

That's too funny since during one of our trips one of the BW concierge cm's let us check out the suite after someone from Bahrain (Princess?) had checked out. Of course my camera battery had died and I didn't get even one single picture.. :(

No wonder I like BWV so much! I'm a princess and I guess I instinctively knew that I should always stay at BWV ;)

question: were they on the BW or the BWV side?

I was there last year when he was there. It was pretty cool.

You'd think they'd make his stay magical and have him stay in the castle. Or do you think he's a bit tired of staying in a castle?:confused3

My Husband will be very excited, he lived in Bahrain for 6 years and loved the country and the people. Bahrain is VERY pro western (one of the most pro west in the Arab world) and well educated.

P.S. Bahrain has virtually no oil production industry left (it does process some) , it's major industries are banking and Aluminum smelting with tourism growing. The head of State's title is the Emir. It is an independent Island state, connected to Saudi Arabia's East coast by a 25 mile causeway.
Many historians consider Bahrain to be the factual basis for a lot of the stories/descriptions of the garden of Eden, due to it's lush gardens and date palms which are in stark contrast to the desert areas all around it.

Heres a link for anyone that's interested
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahrain

I hope you find the information interesting, for such a small country it has a facinating history

Sweet!

Just left the BWV on Thursday. I would have loved to have seen the crew. 23 rooms. Wow!!!

We went for one last walk last night round 10:30 and saw them standing on the beach at Beach Club, right where they show the movies, right after the special fireworks from EPCOT. Did not snap any pics figured it would be rude and hey they are relaxing just like the rest of us. :cool1:
To answer the question do not know what side they are staying on, sorry,. But I figure if they wanted 23 rooms at Boardwalk, and they do this each and every year, they could probably have what ever they wanted. We did notice ALOT more security on the Boardwalk last night by accident or design they were there and did not appear to be hiding the fact they were out. But other then that just another night on the BW.

pretty cool i did security work for him about 12 yrs ago. supervising the guards that guarded his three boats being service at the boat yard.

Does anyone know if they are in BW or BWV?

Wow- we are leaving tomorrow for BWV! it would be cool to see them!
I'm thinking the opposite - I want to avoid the entourage and rubber neckers following them.

Is it just me or do you think $180,000 for 23 rooms for 3 weeks seems like a low number.;) I was thinking that would be way higher

It would be a lot higher, at least $200,00 plus. I doubt Disney would give a discount, since there is no real need. I bet the CM was just guessing what it cost and tossed out that number.
