Royale Parc Suites. Kinda weird, kinda cool.

So I've stayed nearby twice at Celebration Suites at Oldtown, like 10 and 12 years ago (my last disney trips) but never at the Royale Parc Suites.

I'm pretty excited as I'm kind of into the whole kitschy, cheapo, vacation-flavored vibe found in that area.

Some things that seem promising to me about this hotel.

  • I booked it for $50 a night!
  • The word "Suites" is in the hotel name twice. It's actually Quality Suites Royale Parc Suites. I just love that someone decided this was a good name for a hotel hotel.
  • The creepy statues I see everywhere in the videos/pictures

  • Pretty decent looking free breakfast, served at 7am so we can make it to the parks in time for rope drop.
  • Cooktops in all rooms. I'm a fairly good cook and often disappointed when I dine out. We will save a lot of money and still eat like kings (especially with all the creepy looking jester statues).
  • Publix in walking distance

Probably the most exciting thing, and this will give you insight into my special brand of weirdness is this video I found of the Hotel's general Manager, Charlie Frost.

He's just so awkward and warm at the same time, I wanna give him a hug and buy him a beer and listen to his Quality Suites Royale Parc Suites stories. "Have you ever wanted to be a wizard?":jester:

I'd love to hear any tips/feedback/warnings about this place from people who have stayed. We are arriving early October!

I hope you do a trip report...would love to hear about your stay. And the "creepy" décor is meant to resemble elements of New Orleans Mardi Gras! lol

I will have to do that indeed!

Oh! Where did you book it for $50 bucks a night?
Tripadvisor linked me to getaroom. It was about $30 cheaper a night than hotels.com, which is what I usually use. After taxes and resort fees it came out to 478/7nights~$68/night first week of october.

I was just looking to see if anyone had a recent report for this place. We're also going in October and staying here :)

Then I'm sure you will be as devastated as me to find out Charlie Frost is no longer the general manager. Naturally, I'm rethinking my plans entirely.

Thats too bad, but for our group this is the best place that works for us, so Charlie or no Charlie, its where we'll be :)

We stayed there for two weeks durin February/March 2015 and it was a very nice stay. We weren't planning on staying here BUT the winter at home was so bad we extended for a couple of weeks and this is where we found to stay. Their happy hour every day and breakfast was quite nice, the staff was fantastic and the pools were nice. All in all, it is a very nice place.
