Royal Tea on the Magic

Just got back from our cruise. Our 3 year old son may have loved the Royal Tea more than his sisters. He received a foam sword and shield amongst many other items. They were the hugest hit! He spent the whole Tea pretending he was Captain America, even though the items were more Prince Phillip than Captain America. The princesses were good sports considering they all almost got whacked with the sword at least once! We enjoyed the Tea and we're glad we did it. I don't see anyone doing it twice. Do plan on leaving space in your suitcase for all of the gifts. Someone there had the good idea of traveling with one suitcase inside another in order to have two suitcases to pack on the way home. Genius!!

Did it seem like something a 4 y/o boy would enjoy solo with his mom? He enjoys some princess stuff, but is much more into cars, Mickey, etc. he loves shows.

If he's not into meeting the princesses I would skip the tea and buy him a sword and shield from the onboard store. None of my kids enjoyed the snacks at the tea, not even the cupcake. So if the food isn't good and he doesn't like interacting with the princesses, you're pretty much just left with the gifts. If I didn't have the girls, we probably wouldn't have done the tea.
