We are forunate to be staying in a royal suite on the Magic in a few weeks. Anyone have any insider tips for making the most of our experience? TIA!
We stayed in the Walt Suite on Magic in Dec 15. Great memories! Echo what was said above: we had breakfast delivered each day, and had Palo dining in our room so the kids could also enjoy. You can also have the rooms configured how you like; we had 7, with my parents joining us for their 50th Anniversary, so we had the beds in the second bedroom pushed together to form a queen size bed. Would have never know the difference. I'm also addicted to Diet Coke, and they kept the refrigerator fully stock--never had to go to the lounge to get it.
We also managed to get our first choice of the cabanas on Castaway Cay (don't know if Royal had anything to do with that). Expensive, but think it was my parent's (and our) favorite part of the cruise. The concierges checked on us throughout the day, and treated us like kings and queens. Even told my Dad ours was the cabana Bob Iger used when he visited--Dad loved that!
Did you set up breakfast and dinner service with concierge? Our youngest is 17mo so meals will be challenging for her. My in laws are staying in a 1 bedroom but I figured it shouldn't be an issue to get everything delivered to our stateroom so we can enjoy a meal together. Also, do you remember what other soda is available? My husband lives on diet orange soda but that might be a stretch to find that onboard...
We ordered all in room meals through the concierge. There were main dining room menus in our room, and the lounge. We used the shoreside concierge to book our cabana at Castaway and other port adventures. I think you can book character meets online like port adventures now, but we couldn't last time we sailed so the concierge onboard had tickets to the princess meet and greet and the anna & elsa meet and greet in our arrival packet. once we boarded we went straight to the lounge (this is the only time if felt crowded), and they made the rounds to everyone and went over everything already booked and made notes of anything else they needed to book for your onboard. Our rooms were ready early, but the ropes were still up - we went around the ropes (there were guests on the stairs waiting) and settled in early - we also had our bags faster (or so it seemed).Did you set up breakfast and dinner service with concierge? I can't comment on the room but you should know you will have the BEST concierge team in the fleet. And that includes Tim, the bartender. Andy, Emmanuella and Tim were absolutely fabulous on our NYE cruise.
Wishing you safe travels and a great cruise!

I was just in the Disney Suite this past week disembarking on Friday the 20th. Feel free to message me at anytime. When you get onto the ship they will sit down in the concierge Lounge and speak with you about anything that you wish to happen on your Cruise. They will move Heaven and Earth to make your cruise everything you dreamed it would be. You will have the best table in the restaurant. I was with a large group of people and we did not do Palo in the Walt. We did order chocolate souffles, amazing! I set up a tea one afternoon, I had breakfast delivered on the mornings we had a early start. I am not sure if it is because we were in the Walt Suites that's we were pampered from every staff including in the shops. I do know that when I came back to my cabin they were always goodies left for myself and my children. I don't want to spoil too much because there's so many surprises. Give Andy and Emmanuela as well as Tim regards from Maggie Frost. The room steward Albert, to the servers Romain and Emrahin the restaurant, staff Rosalina and Nelsey in Mickey's Mainsail, to Kelly the buyer on the ship... service was amazing always with a smile. I always cry when I come and leave from a Disney vacation. This one what's the hardest one to leave. We have booked again for April of 2018. We will not be staying in the Walt Suite. I think that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And since we've had our opportunity I hope that somebody else gets the chance to enjoy that beautiful suite. If you want it it's a phone call away in the Walt Suite. Enjoy your amazing vacation.
