We are forunate to be staying in a royal suite on the Magic in a few weeks. Anyone have any insider tips for making the most of our experience? TIA!

Well, I didn't stay in a Disney suite. I did poke around in the Walt suite real quick when we disembarked.;) I stayed in a two bedroom and had basically the same amenities. I would definitely order for Palo to be served in your room one night. On our last night all of us, kids included, placed our order and what time we wanted dinner with the concierge that afternoon. It was great! Understandably long between courses, but everything was hot and as well prepared as if we were in the restaurant. Don't miss out on doing this!

I can't comment on the room but you should know you will have the BEST concierge team in the fleet. And that includes Tim, the bartender. Andy, Emmanuella and Tim were absolutely fabulous on our NYE cruise.

Wishing you safe travels and a great cruise!

It was useful to chit chat with the Concierge person assigned to us. They have then suprised us with something fun each time we have sailed.
My favorite was when I asked if they were going to have the High Tea at Palo return. (no it will not) on our sea day, in the afternoon, they suprised us by arranging to have the full spread of scones, cream, jam set up with a stuffed animal "party" for the children.
And they have great stories to tell and are really nice people. Enjoy your trip.

I have only stayed in 1 bedroom on the Magic. Concierge lounge has snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, including a wonderful coffee machine available throughout the day. 2 cocktail hours precede each dinner seating. We had 1 special character event that included smoothies. The concierge team was amazing (Andy & Michele) from making necklaces with daughter, to booking future cruise. No complaints. We did receive some free internet package (unlimited in Royal), also took advantage of ordering full breakfast and dinner from MDRs to be delivered to stateroom. The last morning breakfast was continental only. Royal also can have Palo delivered to stateroom. There were some sodas and water in the room upon arrival. The stateroom host made daughters bed with princess sheets and brought a child size robe for her to use on board. The last evening of the cruise we received a lithograph and a princess doll for our daughter (just so happened to be her favorite...the concierge had made a point to ask her who was her fav and made note for the gift).

I hope you have a magical cruise!

We stayed in the Walt Suite on Magic in Dec 15. Great memories! Echo what was said above: we had breakfast delivered each day, and had Palo dining in our room so the kids could also enjoy. You can also have the rooms configured how you like; we had 7, with my parents joining us for their 50th Anniversary, so we had the beds in the second bedroom pushed together to form a queen size bed. Would have never know the difference. I'm also addicted to Diet Coke, and they kept the refrigerator fully stock--never had to go to the lounge to get it.

We also managed to get our first choice of the cabanas on Castaway Cay (don't know if Royal had anything to do with that). Expensive, but think it was my parent's (and our) favorite part of the cruise. The concierges checked on us throughout the day, and treated us like kings and queens. Even told my Dad ours was the cabana Bob Iger used when he visited--Dad loved that!

Did you set up breakfast and dinner service with concierge? Our youngest is 17mo so meals will be challenging for her. My in laws are staying in a 1 bedroom but I figured it shouldn't be an issue to get everything delivered to our stateroom so we can enjoy a meal together. Also, do you remember what other soda is available? My husband lives on diet orange soda but that might be a stretch to find that onboard...

We have travelled in concierge once, fo rmy wife's 60th birthday. Our son drinks Barq's root beer, which I don't think is normally available on the ship. We asked about it pre-cruise with shoreside concierge, and he had several cases in the Walt suite when we embarked.

We ordered all in room meals through the concierge. There were main dining room menus in our room, and the lounge. We used the shoreside concierge to book our cabana at Castaway and other port adventures. I think you can book character meets online like port adventures now, but we couldn't last time we sailed so the concierge onboard had tickets to the princess meet and greet and the anna & elsa meet and greet in our arrival packet. once we boarded we went straight to the lounge (this is the only time if felt crowded), and they made the rounds to everyone and went over everything already booked and made notes of anything else they needed to book for your onboard. Our rooms were ready early, but the ropes were still up - we went around the ropes (there were guests on the stairs waiting) and settled in early - we also had our bags faster (or so it seemed).

I was just in the Disney Suite this past week disembarking on Friday the 20th. Feel free to message me at anytime. When you get onto the ship they will sit down in the concierge Lounge and speak with you about anything that you wish to happen on your Cruise. They will move Heaven and Earth to make your cruise everything you dreamed it would be. You will have the best table in the restaurant. I was with a large group of people and we did not do Palo in the Walt. We did order chocolate souffles, amazing! I set up a tea one afternoon, I had breakfast delivered on the mornings we had a early start. I am not sure if it is because we were in the Walt Suites that's we were pampered from every staff including in the shops. I do know that when I came back to my cabin they were always goodies left for myself and my children. I don't want to spoil too much because there's so many surprises. Give Andy and Emmanuela as well as Tim regards from Maggie Frost. The room steward Albert, to the servers Romain and Emrahin the restaurant, staff Rosalina and Nelsey in Mickey's Mainsail, to Kelly the buyer on the ship... service was amazing always with a smile. I always cry when I come and leave from a Disney vacation. This one what's the hardest one to leave. We have booked again for April of 2018. We will not be staying in the Walt Suite. I think that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And since we've had our opportunity I hope that somebody else gets the chance to enjoy that beautiful suite. If you want it it's a phone call away in the Walt Suite. Enjoy your amazing vacation.

If your husband lives on diet orange soda I would call and let your land concierge know so that they can be prepared. They did have orange soda not diet that I noticed. To set things up you can either head up to a lounge and speak to Andy or push the concierge button on your phone. I made sure I always had Rice Krispie treats waiting for my children. You are literally too flights of stairs from the Concierge Lounge where you will find Andy and Emmanuela. Although Emmanuela is leaving for vacation in a few weeks.

Yes, but be aware you have to order breakfast the night before and dinner by 4pm.

Oh wow thanks so much for all the tips! Because the royal suites seem like a once in a lifetime experience I haven't found a lot of information out there about them. We became a family of 5 since our last cruise and felt like we needed more space and the price difference between the royal and 2 bedroom wasn't much. As my girls get older I'm sure it will be easier to cram into a smaller room but now they all wake a different times and aren't always the quietest! Oh and btw my youngest DD is Maggie so I will remember your name!
