Royal Rooms Riverside

We've had many stays at POR, and was always curious about the Royal rooms so booked it last January. We loved them, super cute. I'm glad we did it once, next time we'll go back to a regular room. I had an AP discount for it.
Wouldn't do it without a discount.

I've stayed in one twice. The first time I just took the room they gave me which turned out to be halfway to POFQ it seemed like at the end of every evening.

The 2nd time, I requested to be nearer the foot bridge and that made a huge difference. I would get off the bus, walk past Bell Services and to the foot bridge and was in the room much quicker.

I liked the room itself - it was really cute and the fireworks headboard was fun. I hadn't planned on booking one a 2nd time but that was the only room type available at POR that particular trip by the time I booked.

I wouldn't do it again without a good discount.

We LOVED the royal rooms!! We ended up very close to a bus stop and not too far to the main building. I have not stayed in the regular rooms, but I have no complaints with what we paid.

We stayed in one 2 years in a row and have it booked again for our next trip. We really love. All the princess décor etc our 5yr old daughter loves. We also love the location. Very close to everything.

Riverside is my favorite resort and the royal rooms are my favorite rooms! I stayed in one in 2013, and I am booked in one again this week.. So it is worth it to me! I love the decor and the location of the two buildings. Some people will say it isn't worth it, so you'll get both sides to this question. 4 more days until I'm back in a royal room!!!

We had to upgrade to a royal room to get the discount for our trip and DD (5) is super excited about it. We were going to stick with a preferred room in Alligator Bayou but it was sure easy to get on board with this change. :)

This, we book riverview so we are that much closer to everything as well.

Love the rooms (and we are all adults)! The decor is very well done, the location is great for getting to main hub and we did walk to POFQ for breakfast a couple times.

We loved the Royal Rooms. I probably loved it more than DD (10 at the time) did. I think it would depend on your party composition, but we all love good theming, and the Royal Rooms delivered in that department.

We LOVED the Royal Rooms!! Great location and we had a river view! No complaints at all!

I guess I am the only one that cannot give you a good answer without knowing what the actual price difference is:) The 2 times we reserved the RR-GV it was about $25 more per night and we thought it was worth it for us. But I do not think we would pay much more then that.

We stayed in a POR Royal Room on a 5 way split stay trip (over 2 weeks) that also included WL, Poly, BC, and AKL.

After the trip, we asked the kids which hotels' room they liked the best. Both of them said the POR Royal Room.

My DD(20) and I stayed in the Royal Room last May for SWW. My daughter loved the room and wants to stay there again (Next trip in a few weeks will be at CBR). The story behind the room
is that the different princesses came to visit Princess Tiana and brought her gifts, example Belle brought the step stool, Jasmine brought the bathroom faucets etc. The room is well decorated
and the grounds on the resort are beautiful. Enjoy your stay!pooh:

I stayed in a Royal Room a year ago. My family liked the room. I had a pool view and the location was good, not too far from the bridge to the main building. My youngest DD (then 7) loved the decorations and the fireworks headboard. But to be honest, after a couple days the novelty wore off and it was just another hotel room. I would suggest staying there once and see how much value your group puts in the room decor. For me, I am glad to have done it once, but will not spend the extra again.

If you enjoy themed rooms (and especially princesses), they're so worth it. My family stayed in Royal Rooms during Christmas in 2013, and they were so much fun! I agree with others that it's definitely worth doing at least once.
