Royal Plaza?

We are planning our first visit. I do have a deposit down on POR, but noticed it would be much cheaper (and closer?) to stay offsite. Has anyone stayed at the Royal Plaza? What was your experience?
We are traveling with our two children (4 & 5) but we have found that we all tend to wake up and go to bed at the same time on vacation, even with additonal rooms.

We stayed there on our arrival in Nov 2008. We liked it, and the staff was wonderful. I do suggest getting a tower room as they are nicer!

we have stayed 4 nigths in a tower room, the hotel is really nice, with a contemporary feeling, the rooms are very nice, you can go with confidence, it¨s not Disney themed, but is a realy good 4 star hotel,
