I stayed here one night, before we moved to the Dolphin, two years ago. We could see each hotel from the other!
Liked: Got an executive suite - had a small bedroom with a king bed and tv, very comfy, living room with pull out couch (my son slept there, daughter and I shared the king. The bed was very comfortable, and my kids loved when I gave them baths in the cute whirlpool tub!
The location is good.
Free self parking (although there wasn't a lot of parking spaces, we found one).
We got room service for dinner, just sandwiches, we were tired, it was fine. I've had worse for sure - it was nice to have.
Not so good: They had told me the pool had lifeguards, but it didn't (and this was a busy time in August). The pool is a basic rectangle, but my kids had fun. It seemed dirty around it to me, but I am spoiled by places like the Disney resorts and the Swan/Dolphin for cleaning around pools constantly. So basically it's fine to jump in over and over, but it's no resort pool. Also, the snack/drink area down by the pool (bar?) wasn't open. I thought this was weird, it was a busy time in Orlando, so I wonder when exactly it IS open? I would have ordered stuff for all of us, as we've done at the Swan and Dolphin, we like to order snacks and drinks at the pool, even when it's overpriced.
The breakfast buffet was included in our price. This was good and bad. I thought the food was just okay, kind of greasy, and the restaurant seemed dirty. But it was free, so fine.
Overall, if you can get a good price, I think it's fine. I did see that for our spring break a suite was $120 a night, which is nice. I actually did consider this, but for less got a suite at the Fairfield Inn about a mile away.
