HELLO

We are headed to WDW for a short weekend getaway. I have only stayed ON Disney property before, so I am expecting "the worst", but wondering if anyone knows the answers to a few questions:

Just how close it is to DTD
Is the transport to WDW reliable enough for regular touring hours (no EMH, obviously, and not staying till close or getting there at opening)
Are there any "awful" rooms?

Welcome to the DIS!! We have usually stayed on site but did stay here our last trip. Our room was nice and big compared to Disney. Nice big bath with a large tub and separate shower. We were in the tower. We had three rooms and they were all the same. We had a view of a roof, but that does not really matter to us. Parts of the hotel look older, but were clean. We used the shuttle all days except Thanksgiving and had no problems. Ny DH walked back from DTD one evening and said it took maybe 10 minutes, but you do have to cross a busy street. We enjoyed our stay and had a great rate with breakfast included through Mousesavers special. Since my mom was paying for all three families, this was a great deal for her and we all had a nice time.
We are trying Bonnet Creek this trip. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Sounds good.... we probably could have used more than one room, we are squeezing 6 into one room, but bringing two air mattresses. Might change our reservation, might not.
