Anyone stay here yet with the mousesavers rate? We're going for 2 nights this Sat, Sun. Wondered if you had any problem getting the 2 free adult breakfast buffets, how it was and did you like the hotel....

I just saw this offer on Mary's site. We plan to try it also. Please post after your trip and let us know if it all worked out!

Thanks!

We stayed here for a few nights over the 4th of July Holiday. We also had a mousesaver code. We really liked our room. We had a king bed. The room was nice and we really loved the bathroom. They use bath and body works shampoo and soap. The tub was HUGe and we had a seperate shower. We didn't eat breakfast so I can't comment. The pool area was nice but kinda on the small side. all in all we were very pleased with this hotel. I will try to post picture's if any one is interested in seeing them.

We were in a tower room and overlooked the pool area, The lanai rooms looked nice as some opened out to the pool and had a private sitting area. We did have a balcony.

Would you say the pool at the Royal Plaza would appeal to kids, or is it fairly standard?

The pool is pretty basic, but it was clean and would be a great place to cool off in the afternoon. The Hotel is really a nice looking Hotel, I was very impressed with the decor. The room was a large and very pretty. With the mousesavers code it was a very good value.

How was the shuttles back and forth to the parks? Where do they drop off and pick up??? My friends are going in 2 weeks. I was also wondering about the breakfast. I found this for them on mousesavers also for them. They are on a budget and have 3 kids. The price and free breakfast sounds great to them.... thanks.,,corvariamy

Hi! We stayed there May 4-7 and we thought the hotel was beautiful, but the pool was just so-so. We have 4 kids ages 9,7,4,2. The food in the giraffe cafe was really good. We used there busses and liked them. They are more comfortable that disney busses and the drivers are nice. We didn't think that this hotel was very kid friendly. Small pool area and small arcade. It's nice for adults. Also, at the end of a long day in the parks --it may be better to drive your own car especially to MK. The bus picks up at TTC and you wait in the middle of a big parking lot. If your children are whiny it can be hairy for you and everyone else! I am a firm believer in leaving my car parked at the hotel, but the trek to and from MK can be long. I know if you drive to MK you have to go via the TTC also, but it just seemed like it would have been easier on our children for us to take our own car. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott next door to the hotel royal plaza and overall we found that a better experience. The rooms are wider, but no pull out sofa and the bathrooms are nicer at Hotel Royal Plaza. I also like all stars better with kids. I don't think we will stay at DD hotels anymore, b/c they just seem not suited to kids. Oh, also , the laundry area is to the rear of the pool area. It was a hike from our room (2nd floor) to there to do laundry. My daughter had an accident at the Typhoon Lagoon and I had to do some laundry when we returned that night and it was a little scary walking to the laundry building in the dark. At the Courtyard it was just one floor below us! I hope this has helped!Oh, I realized I hadn't answered your question very well about drop off and pick up. The busses drop off in independent bus parking lots next to parking lots where day drivers park at MGM,Epcot,AK and at the TTC for MK.

We stayed at Royal Plaza for 2 nights. Our plane was late and we checked in around 10:30 pm...the kids and us were exhausted. We had the mousesavers rate so we didn't have a tower room. The 1st room we went to smelled sooooo musty and was a parking lot view...We called back down and asked to be changed the next room was pool view, it was slightly musty smelling but tolerable. We did the breakfast buffet both mornings and that was good, with a good selection...make your own mickey mouse waffles, donuts, danish, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, fresh fruit, milk, coffee, juice, soda. The certificate included tax and gratuity and kids ate free. So all in all the $75 dollar rate that included breakfast for 4 was a good deal. We had a car and drove to MK and MGM on the 2 days we were there, so we didn't try the transportation. We all decided that the hotel was okay for the 2 nights that we stayed there, but if we were staying longer, we would want to be on site at one of the disney resorts.

Thanks for the report! Did they just give you the breakfast vouchers at check in or did you have to tell them? We are using the Mousesavers deal with the breakfast next week and I want to know what to expect...thanks!

We stayed there for three nights over the 4th of july week. The hotl is nice, the rooms are spacious, and the bath and body work anemities were awesome. I was very disappointed with the service. I had called the evening before we left to make sure a fridge would be in our room when we got there, not only was it not there but after an hour I called down to see where it was and he said he "forgot". So we just cancelled and didnt get any fridge items from the store. The prices for phone calls from the rooms are also OUTRAGEOUS. The diner was also just so-so. The transportation was also very timely, clean, and a welcome for sore eyes!

I asked about them at check-in. She seemed to know about them and said yes, she'd fill them out for us. One coupon for each day and they were good for 2 adults.

Okay, now I'm nervous. I booked the HRP with the mousesavers rate for my DH and I to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Money is a little tight, so I'm not expecting anything fancy. Just a clean,
ODORLESS room, and good service. I just cancelled a reservation at BW for about the same rate and same amenities. Should I go with HRP or BW? Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

marvelous,
I would keep the room at HRP. We thought the room was very lovely. The bathroom is huge, very nice garden tub and a nice seperate shower. I think the Resort is actually a very pretty one, it is quite fancy looking. I think you will be impressed...

Thanks Tluv! There's nothing worse then been worried to death up until your trip.

How was the breakfast?

marvelous,
We didn't eat breakfast. We had a different mousesavers rate that didn't include breakfast. I think we were booked for $65.00 but upgraded to a king size tower room for $75.00. This was over the 4th of July holiday, so we thought it was reasonable.
