You are so welcome!

RPR parking lot is a large open space all one level, so you don`t need to deal with different levels, it is a few minutes walk back to the entrance, once you`ve dropped your husband and luggage off, so if the weather is bad, definitely consider Valet.

Update! Made it to RPR easy peasy - very light traffic & the rain even eased up for the trip. Pulled in & a nice young man offered to valet park our car & take care of our luggage & we gladly had him do so. Came in & to check in & wasn't crowded at all ( then - packed down there now) & a room on the third (main) floor - great because hubby's on a rollator walker - in Tower 3 was already ready !

Grabbed our luggage from Bell Services & went to our lovely room - also popped down to Tuk Tuk for beverages & breakfast sandwiches. Hubby now napping after a super busy morning.

Thanks so much everyone for happy thoughts & well wishes & especially schumigirl for spot on advice! & yes, I absolutely tipped valet fella & bell services fella

I`m so glad you made it safely and I do like when things are "easy peasy" and nice position for your room!!

It's just wonderful here ! I have wanted to stay here & it never seemed to work out until now - I actually was also concerned that once I stayed HERE , I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else...& yep, concern was totally valid I love everything about RPR - it suits me perfectly in every way & everyone here is just SO fantastic - still manages to be peaceful & pleasant even though they have a full house with all us evacuees.

Going to have to revamp next year's vacation budget when we come back once hubby's back to 100%! I really liked Sapphire Falls when we stayed there, too, but if I had my pick, RPR would be "it" for me

It is the most perfect of places and has never disappointed us in any way.

Yep, another question: How long does it take the valet service to retrieve & bring your car generally? Not leaving until tomorrow at the earliest & I'm in no hurry - just trying to minimize how long hubby has to be waiting/standing.Thx!

They are usually very quick to retrieve your car, maybe 5 minutes or so, but there are benches where your husband can sit on if need be if it is busier than usual depending on when you check out. Those boys run fast down to the Valet lot!!!

Made it home fine & no damage to our place other than a piece of lattice came off & slightly scratched husband's truck - considering all the tornadoes & the fact Milton was still a Cat 2 as went right over us, it's miraculous! Lots of big trees down - been cleaning up all day - tired but glad to be back !

No power for the foreseeable future - fortunately the weather is gorgeous!

Glad to hear it DG, always a worry what you were going back to after such a storm, but happy to hear it`s not bad at all.

Will be at RPR in three weeks. Just talked to hotel; they told me that the major remodel of the Islands restaurant never started & any construction is not on the schedule. Said they are serving breakfast & dinner as usual.

Is Bell Services 24 hours or do they close?

We will be storing our luggage on our check-out day but will be attending the Holiday Tour that ends around 10:30 or 11pm.

Will Bell Services still be open around 11:30-Midnight so we can retrieve our luggage?

Slightly strange question. Can you change the channel of the TVs in the club lounge? Are they typically muted? We're arriving at MCO in the early afternoon and will not be going to the parks that day, because our seasonal passes will be blocked out. I know the room is not guaranteed until 4 p.m. and have experienced waiting until 4. I assume we can access the club lounge before our club level room is ready? There may be a game that we want to watch, either on the TV or on phones with earbuds. It's open all day, but snack are only out until 3 p.m., correct?

I don't believe you will be able to access the club since you will need a room key to get the elevator to go to the top floor where the club is located. That is the only floor you need a room key to access. But they may have a work around at the front desk when you check in, so someone else may know better. I do know that it is their policy to not allow club access beyond checkout time on your departure day.
There is a TV in a nook to the right when you enter the club that is in the small kids' section that was always tuned to cartoons with no sound. I believe there is also a TV to the left as you enter at the end of the buffet, but we never sat there so my memory is more fuzzy on that one. I never remember any TV with sound on. If you can get in there, I don't beleive the staff would mind changing the channel one bit. They are very helpful and kind.
