Hi guys! Just booked Royal PAcific for our trip in August 09! :cool1: This will be our first time there and we are celebrating our wedding anniversary!
I booked on the phone and was given a confirmation number but have not received anything in writing to confirm our booking. The guy did take my address, but not my e-mail. What is the usual policy with Universal, do they post you a confirmation letter?
thanks!

This happened to me as well with the Hard Rock Hotel. I just called and asked them to send me one and they did.
FYI, they still have not charged me for my deposit... I guess it just a cc guarentee and they charge it if you do not show up or do not canel within the window of time.

How long ago did you book? It sometimes takes a few days for the deposit charge to get reported. Making the hotel reservation by phone call almost always results in being charged deposit.

All my reservations at RPR have taken 1 nights room as deposit, charged to my CC.
Debs Hill, i would call back and give them your email ,and ask for confirmation email to be sent,. Never had written confirmation about a reservation

When I made our ressie for RPR for july this year they didn't send me a confirm for about three months and they never charged my cc until we checked in when they took out for my entire stay but like Robert said give them a call and give them your email address

Hi,

We're booked into RPR for 11/09. My CC was charged for one night's stay as deposit. It was charged right away. I received a confirmation by e-mail the next day.

When I called back and had the rate changed to AAA, I received another confirmation by e-mail.

I'd definitely call and get them to send you an e-mail.

Best of luck! :)

My CC was also charged for the first night as soon as I made my ressie. I had a lot of trouble getting the confirmation e-mail. Finally, I called them and ask them to re-send the email AND to give me the email address they used to send it from. I had to add them to my contacts list and presto!..... the email came within a day.

I made my reservation last month for July 09. I was waiting and waiting for an email, but it never came. I called and they said it's not their policy to send a confirmation email automatically, but if I wanted one, they would send it. So I had to request it and it arrived shortly thereafter. I have not been charged at all for my stay yet and assume I won't be until I actually check in.

Call me paranoid but I do like to have a confirmation letter or e-mail rather than just a reference number! I have e-mailed them and asked for some form of confirmation......................nothing yet!
Debsx;)

I would call them again and ask for an email. I got mine the next day. The reservationist specifically asked if I wanted an email confirmation.

I made 3 bookings for next summer, and recieved email confirmation for all 3 reservations without asking.

i have encountered not receiving an email in the past years for the hotels.

i call back if i don't receive the email confirmation within 48 hours of my booking.

I request one be sent and they comply.

if you want the email confirmation, call and request one.

it is not necessary as long as you have the confirmation number.
if you feel you must have the confirmation email due to booking with a discount, just contact them.

it's very simple to do so.

I found it has been hit or miss on emails. I always request them, but dont always get them.

I am kind of in the same boat with some of you. I made my reservations at RPR 2 days ago and was told I would be e-mailed a confirmation. My credit card has not been charged yet nor have I received the e-mail. I guess I will call today.:confused3
