:confused3 ...Gonna be in Orlando June 5-15; Passports in hand. Any chance our family can just drive on over to Port Canaveral and score an amazing LAST-MINUTE DEAL on an unsold cabin in a Royal Carribean cruise about to set sail? Who'd I check with/call regarding this senario? Who do I pay? any ideas or past knowledge of this out there? My friend scored a similar deal 5 years ago for a cruise leaving that day....but that was Carnival out of Ft. Lauderdale.:confused3

You can no longer just "go up" to the pier and grab an unsold cabin. Bookings must be made at least 72 hours in advance, as manifests must be cleared by the Dept. of Homeland Security.

There are only 3 cruises going out from Port Canaveral during that time frame on RCCL. A 3 night and a 4 night to the Bahamas, and 7 night to the Eastern Caribbean. The 7 night is very pricey right now. I'd check on the RCCL board at cruisecritic.com to see if anyone has an idea of the best place to check (another site or RCCL directly) for the best last minute deals on their cruises.

About the best deal I ever find for RCCL is on www.cruise.com. Be sure to type in your region to filter out the deals for that.
This website includeds gratuities for RCCL, which can add up.

You can also check vacationtogo.com for last minute cruise deals.
