Perhaps DH can take a look at it when we're there in May. I can't make any promises that he could actually fix it but he is handy with cars so how hard can a stroller be, right? Plus, he's an ME so it should be in his head somewhere.

Glad to know 1 & 2 are doing well, that's a relief!

When you order things online alway google "storename code" before checking out, you can find discounts that way quite often. :thumbsup2

I am 74 days away from leaving for my trip!

Hi everyone!

Everything is updated and here is the standings on replacing Royal Carriage #3 stroller.

Currently, we have $120.00 collected. The exact stroller-Instep Safari Jogging Double Stroller- is $214.99 which includes the shipping to my house and taxes. It will need to be silkscreened ($20) and assembled then shipped to WDW. This is just the stroller...no storage bag, sunshade, fan, or mommy hook. Plus it will cost to ship it to WDW. All in all, to replace everything that was lost, plus shipping and silkscreening is around $350....OUCH. So with the help of Bowbiejuke, msreneau, and pigltlvr's generous offer to kick in a lil extra, I'm going to be ordering the stroller the first part of Jan., silkscreened, and then shipped to WDW in time for bowbiejuke. I'm hoping to have myself paid back, all the accessories replaced for all the strollers before we have to replace the stroller with the (sometimes)wobbley front wheel.
:)

i think we could skip the fan, sunshade and mommy hook. the stroller and storage bags are most important. and in my opinion we could even skip the silkscreen and send directly to WDW for the next user to assemble. just my opinion though.

Actually, I have you in swap #2. I'm trying to fill up the current swaps before adding to the new swap. :)

please PM me the following information so I can get you confirmed.
1. Your full name at check in AND check-in date.
2. Your resort
3. Your reservation number
4. Your email address
5. Your phone numbers were you can be reached at Disney World
(PLEASE DON’T POST YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION IN THE THREAD)

Thanks!

Sent you a pm.. I don't have my reservation number here with me but will send it to you later. Thanks.. We have done this swap before in fact we had stroller #2... :)

Parkers*Momma-

Thank you for sending me a conformation for my dates. I tried to PM you but for some reason, the site is not letting me into my messages. I will send you my confirmation numbers, when I can.

Seeing as my sister and I will be both using the stroller, we decided to buy a Mommy Hook, to replace the missing one on the All Star Music stroller, however seeing as our trip is not till September and it might be replaced by then, we will then donate it to whatever stroller needs it.

Thanks again,

Hi ParkersMomma,
I am a little worried about stroller #4 already having problems and we're not picking it up for 3 1/2 months. I noticed that #3 has my exact dates free and didn't know if we could switch to that date until we have an update on #4. We definitely need 2 strollers down there (currently in 2 and 4) so if 4 is out of commission we'll be in a jam.

Thanks! And, more thanks for keeping this going. You are really helping everyone out by organizing this.

We will be using RC#4 Jan 20-27 and my DDad is really handy so I'll have him take a look at it when we are there, unless somone else does before then :)

To the poster who mentioned skipping the silkscreening and shipping directly to WDW, that may or may not work. I agree that it's worth looking into though! It would mean that the person accepting it is willing to assemble it. If that is ok, then I think we can find some sort of iron on to replace the silk screening, and again the person accepting it would have to be willing to do that. I'd be happy to look for suitable alternatives for the silk-screening if parkers*momma is interested in this route- it is afterall her call. I don't want to make things harder on her than they already are, but this would certainly save some money!

Cool we have our own Royal Carriage Handy Man Tim Taylor....Mr. MelXthree! WAHOOOO!

MELXThree...if he wouldn't mind, could he please check out the stroller and give me an idea if it is fixable or not? I don't really want to replace another stroller if we don't have too.

Michael's Mom..as soon as I have a report, I will get back to you. I understand your concern, I would be too! I promise to do my best to make sure no one from any of the swaps loses out on using their stroller.

We do have a bigger fish in the ocean of Disney. This was brought to my attention from another swap leader (thanks Lisa :) ). Here's the thread....

I'm going to have to call tomorrow and see if I can find any details out on this small problem. If it is true for all items left in storage(swaps)...or just items shipped to WDW via FEDEX, UPS, USPS, etc. I hope it applies only to items being shipped down to WDW. (personally, I do have a problem with that too because I ship items each year to WDW...especially since the airlines are now charging for luggage)

BOWBIEJUKE: IF and thats a big IF, they are charging for items shipped to WDW would you mind it I ship the stroller to you? It can be taken directly on the plane when you board...without any fees what-so-ever. They will put a gate check tag on it directly before boarding? If need-be would that be a problem for you?

OK...let's hope that WDW hasn't become so tight that they are charging for items left in storage for another guest....keep your fingers crossed!

It looks as though we might have a road block to deal with first. :) As soon as I have talked to WDW, we'll figure out what our next step is. GEEZ....can't anything be easy! :rotfl: Please go ahead and check into the iron on...it can't hurt to look into it. :)

The Mommy hooks are at Babies R us for 6.99

Petsmart has the EXACT SAME THING for $4.49. It's called "EZ GRAB SOFT GRIP HANDLE". The item number is 5089960. I couldn't find it online, however I did see this when checking out 2 days ago. Bought new supplies for our new teacup chihuahua puppy "Miley" when I noticed it. :dogdance:

It would be hard because we are driving, and traveling room with three kids is scarce. I could probably make it work if there were no other options. If the mommy hook is as cheap as everyone is saying I will just run and pick one up at Pet Smart before I leave and add it to Royal Carriage #3, saying I can find it.

Can I add a day to my dates? I am already signed up for the April 11-17, but some of my grand gathering group is coming in on the 10th, so if I could get this stroller on that day then that would be a huge help. The new dates for stroller swap #4 would be the April 10-17. Thanks.

New puppies....Awwwwww. I'd love to see pictures of Miley! Thanks for the heads up on the mommyhook!

Ohhh not a problem! I'm a firm believe in "asking can't hurt".

So here is the scoop:

Disney no longer handles the arriving items. The fees are ONLY at convention resorts (so Contemp/Yacht/Boardwalk/Coronado/Grand) and only UPS/FED EX due to the fact IKON took over the business and package centers. Currently, it isn't resort wide but that could change at any time. Disney-themselves-are being charged by IKON for each package they handle for WDW.

For the swap, I can say PHEWWWWWWW. I was so afraid that it was going to be at all resorts AND luggage Services. At this time, we are safe!

So with that being said I will simply go ahead with the assembly, Silkscreening (or if someone knows how to do the transfers...I haven't a clue) and ship it to WDW in plenty of time of Bowbiejuke. I'll be ordering the stroller next week, if not sooner.
