hi all

am debating about a royal 21 dinner vs a vip tour - have spent a lot of time at disneyland so not sure about the tour but was wondering if anyone has eaten at royal 21 -any thoughts about the two?

thanks

cindy

I wanted to do 21 royal forever.
The problem is securing a group where one person has to manage the financial aspect of the whole reservation, and there has to be a factor of trust.

Also, personally, my husband and daughter would never do it, but I do have a coworker that wants to do it. It’s just hard to coordinate the group and the time of when it would happen with both of our schedules going at the same time.
But I’m a big foodie and I would really appreciate it. So someday!

thanks so much for the info!! it's out of my price range unfortunately

If you can easily afford either one, I'd choose 21 Royal. A VIP Tour is just another day in the parks, to be blunt. Yes, you get a much smoother experience and can ride a lot of rides and get seating for parades and nighttime shows. But otherwise, you're just getting to do the stuff you already do at Disneyland.

21 Royal is a unique, completely pampered dining experience. It's not something you can do any other way besides coughing up the fifteen grand.

I was going to do 21 Royal once but Covid got in the way and it subsequently fell apart. I'd still love to do it but as mentioned above, it can be tricky to set up/join a group.

If you can afford the 21 Royal, I would also throw in the "Land of Dreams VIP Tour" as another option. This is a VIP tour on steroids. I did it once, there is a topic on the board about it. This is TRUE front of the line, as well as riding with only your group when it makes sense (like on GOTG or RSR), re-rides if you want with same access, etc, plus a couple backstage tours, plus you get 3 VIP tour guides for up to 6 people. And finally, pretty much all the food you want to eat included. Main negative is they only support 6 people.

The tour when I went on it was up to 12 hours.
