Roy Disney has started a web site about Disney. The web site contains lots of good information.

hmm - where did you hear of this site?

I have no time to check into it today, but I have to say I'm doubting it is a legitimate Roy Disney site.

For one, it seems that he would have enough funds to be able to hire a web designer who would know how to center the pictures at the top. Also, I highly highly doubt that he would include a list of Disney sites. He is still a major stockholder of the company and this just looks more than a little unprofessional.

I'm no web expert, but I have to agree with Toby's Friend. it definitely looks slapped together. Its not what i would expect to see from Roy. Can anybody find a way to verify if the site truly is his and Stan Gold's?

Well, it's not registered directly with Roy or Stan (as per the WHOIS info on internic)

I'm a little dubious as well. Especially with the disclaimer at the bottom.

The disclaimer leads you to believe that the website is a supporter of Roy's, but not actually Roy's website.

Ok, here's my take on it:

This page was done by Mike McConnell, who is listed as managing director of Shamrock Capital Advisors, Inc. It was done in Microsoft Word, so obviously is not up to the caliber of Shamrock's website that was done by www.saydesign.com.

It also was worked on by John Robbins, who I can't find any more info on but believe he must be part of Shamrock also. There is an email address in the file that points to jrobbins@shamrock.com. Plus, Word attributes the company name as "Shamrock".

So it appears this could be the start of a grass roots effort by Shamrock...

Looks like it's legit as Stanley P. Gold is the president and CEO of Shamrock Holdings. Unless it's another Stanley P. Gold from the one who resigned from the Disney board.
