We're planning on driving from Minnesota to WDW. Google Maps gives me three different routes. The shortest has us taking mainly US Highways to St. Louis then cutting through Nashville and Atlanta to Orlando. The other route has us going through Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville and Atlanta to Orlando. The second route is about 60 miles longer and Google says its an hour longer. But the second route is all Interstate. Which would you prefer, the shorter route or the all interstate route.

The starting location is Lonsdale, MN. Thanks for your help.

I believe the Nashville route would be better. I drove from Oklahoma to Nashville and down to Atlanta

We have made the drive from Milwaukee a number of times and up until our last drive always did the Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville and Atlanta to Orlando route. The only problem with that route right now is I-65 in/near Louisville is a MESS.

I would suggest you look at the For 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Drivers Only! (III) thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2815923 and see what the group has to say there as that is a very dedicated group of drivers!
