ok we are wanting to eat there just because its Cinderallas castle but we were looking at the menu and really can't find anything that we would like to eat there. Its all food that we are not use to we are your typical hamburg and pizza family lol Is whats listed on their menu the only things they serve??

We just got back, went to CRT on Monday. Food was just ok, nothing to brag about. I wouldn't go back, but think it's good to go once for the experience (not the food). I had the vegetarian entree, what's on the menu is what they have. I thought the 'princess' experience was better at Akershus and the food was better (we had breakfast).

Ditto the PP - the menu is what they have and Akershus (at least breakfast) is MUCH better all around.

I know it's neat to eat in the castle but really once you're in there it's a kind of cool looking room that you don't really look at that much and so so food. We haven't done breakfast there but have done lunch twice. First time was for the experience (and they had the turkey sandwich - now gone), 2nd time was for DD's birthday it was "the" place she wanted to eat. We won't eat there again. Food is truly not worth it and princess interaction IS much better at Akershus!

Go there for the Princesses, survive the food. If you have done it once, that is probably enough.

A menu is the list of what a restaurant serves. This is the case at CRT.
Sounds like it doesn't meet your requirements as there is no pizza or burgers.
There are innumerable CS and TS places in WDW with these for you,

I am SAD and HATE to say this, but CRT was just OK. We were there a week ago and it has ALWAYS been my favorite place to dine. The sub par quality of the food and the not so stellar or magical service can no longer be ignored by me :( I really do not think we will go back next year, not unless the reports on here tell me different :(

Well I will be the exception here but we took DD to CRT for her 6th birthday last year and we all LOVED it. Every part of it. It took me a while to talk DH into it but to this day, he brags about how much he liked his meal. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and mine is different here...but I loved it and I liked it more than Akershus (which we did last week).

Boy am I glad to hear that someone still likes it! I booked my trip only about three months in advance and so counted myself very lucky to get a dinner reservation for CRT that was pretty late.:rolleyes1

DH and I have made it a point to go every trip and we are really looking forward to taking DS with us this time. Of course, we haven't been to WDW in about 10 years...

The only major disappointment I see at this point is that they no longer seem to serve the prime rib DH and I still rave over....(with a lovely root vegetable mash on the side)--sigh.

We went for breakfast and dinner last year and enjoyed the food both times. If you don't like what is on the dinner menu, I would go for breakfast since it is pretty standard breakfast food. Again, you will be paying for the experience but at least the food is something you might eat. At dinner last year I had the fish and thought it was good. I'm not saying that it is a stellar meal, but I enjoyed it. My DD LOVED it!

I think people expect a meal that is comparable to the price you pay, but in reality, you are also paying to eat in the castle, have face time with the princesses without having to stand in line for each one and get a picture with Cinderella in addition to the meal. When you factor in all of that, I think it is worth the price.

I'll join you in that exception. We loved CRT for dinner when we went in August. Food was great as was service. Princess interaction too (Cinderella referred to my DS3 who was acting shy as her mouse). We also did Akershus dinner and CRT blew it away in every area.

We just returned from our very 1st time to CRT. I agree that the food is just okay. Not worthy of 2 table service credits. I had the chicken and it was good, husband had the short ribs, more like roast beef and he liked them. Our server actually told me not to get the veggie dish.:goodvibes Kids had cheese pizza and it looked really good!! Not sure if the dinner menu is better. I think for 2 table services there should be more food and more choices. We had fun.
