Only 9 days till we leave for the fort. Let me introduce my family. There are four of us heading down: myself, my wife Becky, DS4 and DS1.75.

We'll be leaving from Cincinnati, OH on 8/7 - and we're crazy enough to be driving! We have a couple of stop overs planned: one in London, KY to see family and then in Savannah, GA. Then following a stop at the beach in St. Augustine and a quick trip to the Disney Outlet store there, we expect to hit Disney around 3:00 on 8/9.

We're going to be staying in the Ft. Wilderness Cabins. We chose those because a) it gave us two rooms, which gives us a lot of options in terms of who sleeps where and b) since the cabins have a full kitchen, we're saving a lot of money in terms of food, etc. Also, we kind of like the idea of the rustic feel of Ft Wilderness.

Our planned itinerary for the park is as follows:

Sunday Evening: DHS
Monday: Epcot
Tuesday: AK
Wednesday: MK
Thursday: Hanging out at the fort
Friday: MK
Saturday: Check out and any park we felt we missed out on

We'll see how closely we actually stick to that plan! With two kids, we may end up adding a second day to just hang out. We also don't plan on being in the park all day, because our little guy needs his naps, and the big one may need them too!

Finally, we have a couple of special meals planned. We're hitting the Crystal Palace for lunch on Wednesday to hang out with Pooh and Tigger. And I'm surprising my wife with dinner at Artist Point on Friday.

So, that's the plan. But you know about Murphy's Law - I kind of wanted to get it on "paper" so I can laugh about it when it all goes horribly wrong! :rotfl:

So, sitting in the living room after the kids went to bed, we realized that we hadn't gotten any games for the Leapster 2 we bought DS4 for the trip down. Did you know those things cost $25 each! Ouch. I guess we have a trip to Walmart in our future.

We've also finalized our touring plans for Epcot and Magic Kingdom. I don't really know what they are, but my wife assures me they're efficient! :rotfl2:

Your wife is a smart woman! :thumbsup2 Touring Plans are a necessary item if one wishes to conquer the parks in an orderly, time wise fashion! :goodvibes
