Rotten Apples at American Pavilion!!!

Mom and Dad had lunch at the American Pavilion today. Not only was the chicken sandwich pretty much gristle and the nuggets like some sort of processed chicken-like substance but the apple slices were rotten!! See Bad Food Porn below....

Is this what we want guests to see at the American Pavilion???

They didn't complain while they were there-and I reprimanded them for that when we spoke tonight-but they are going to send that photo along with a note to Guest Relations tomorrow.

They're not complainers-they don't like to "make a fuss". Mom is 70 and Dad is nearly 80-it's hard to get them to change behavior at this stage. If I hadn't called tonight to ask how their day went at the Flower Festival I would probably never have known.

Regardless of whether they complained or not-it doesn't change the fact that this is really inexcuseable. Just because it's counter service doesn't mean that the quality should suffer.

That is definately not something that would make me happy, I would have went right back to counter with it asking for a refund and ate somewhere else! Definately shouldn't be allowing things like that to go across any counter! I wouldn't even had accepted new food seeing something like that, due to the fact if they are serving that, then what else are they trying to pass?
I won't be eating there anytime soon!

I might be able to help with the description of the nuggets as we wrote about them from Rosie's over at the Hollywood Studios.

The meat was mechanically pulled and ground into a paste that was mixed with just the right amount of spices before being formed and dipped in a lucious breading and then deep fried.

All kidding aside....I am sorry your elderly parents had such a miserible experience with the food at the American Pavilion.

Hi, IMHO the American pavilion has the WORST food in World Showcase. Disney should REALLY be ashamed of themselves!! There is SO MUCH that they COULD do with this restaurant and menu. I am SURE if they just ASKED us here on the DIS we could REMAKE this place into a SHOWCASE for America!! Joan

Hmmm, since it was at the American Pavilion did the bag those rotten apple slices were in say "Made in China" on it?

We were just there and had the same apple issue.. we went thru ten.. TEN.. bags before we found some that were ok. I would have skipped it but DD ws feeling bad and she wanted sliced apples so I was determined. thought of it makes me ill.

That is seriously soooo gross. Those are not just a little rotten ... they are TOTALLY rotten. I would be scared to eat anything from there if they are serving food with obvious issues because it's the "hidden" issues that can really get 'ya.

We've eaten at the Liberty Inn many, many times and have never had any issues. But then again, I never order chicken outside my house. In any form. I'm just worried that this post will have some people running away from the pavilion and not even giving it a chance. So this is my positive report.
