We’re staying off property this week (9th-13th) for the first time ever due to the point borrowing restrictions with DVC. Therefore we can’t book lighting lanes or Genie+ until park open… usually around 9AM. All of the FB pages are reporting that ROTR and FOP are sold out by 7:15 everyday. I’m curious what others have experienced recently. If this is the case I’m wondering if even using a park reservation for HS is even worth it. I’ve been watching the wait times for the past few days and an hour before close seems to be the shortest wait for ROTR for standby. Looks like the best strategy for FOP is to arrive at park open if the LL are sold out before park open. Any suggestions?? TIA!

We went to DHS on 11/29 (sold out). ROTR LL was sold out before 9, so we hustled over there first thing. Posted wait was 60-70 minutes, we were out in 45. Riding late wasn't an option as we had an 8:20 dining reservation. BTW, we got in line at the park at around 8:35. It was very crowded at that point.

We did the same thing with FOP as we used both our Individual LL passes at Epcot that day (12/1). We were out in under 40 minutes and headed over to River journey.

We were also in HS on 11/30, tho we hopped there from AK. We rope dropped FOP and were off by 805. And got in line for ROTR at 745 ish and waited about 45 min. It was a very very long day lol. walked almost 15 miles that day. My foot still hurts a week later lol. But 100% would do it again.

The week we were there when Genie + rolled out, RoTR sold out fast. I know FoP also did, but not sure by what time.

We easily got a Flight of Passage reservation at 9am for 4pm last Sunday. You're not getting a Rise reservation unless you're extremely lucky, but Flight of Passage is available after park opening on most days.

We were able to get FoP at park open on 11/29 (the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so the first day the crowds had calmed some). We bought it at 8 and the earliest return times were around 3:30ish, so there was still decent availability.
