My best friends are going right after school at the 2:15 showing... im not going sicne i havnet seen any of them, and id be SO lost...lol

haha i wish i could go see it on wednesday, but i have a concert at school and i cant even leave early cuz im like in every performing group lol.

and dont you worry laura, i will get you into lotr, even if i have to strap you down and force you to watch the movies (and come on orli is steamin' in the movie lol)

orli is hot in the moies thats how i got obbsessed with him form the first movie (my cousins hate me b/c thats all i talk about) i really wasnt into LOTR but my cousins and aunt made me watch it now its like one of my favorite movies then i had to see the second my cousins are going to see it once when it comes out and imgoing to see it on Sunday my mom hate s those movies though i really dont know y they are the best movies Legaloss(sp?)is really cute i luv him

I can't wait! I am a LotR freak!

I'm going to see RotK at midnight with my dad and 2 of my friends...and we're definitely going to school the next day, although I'm not sure how awake I'm going to be! There are a lot of people from my classes going to see it, so maybe my teachers will be a little bit sympathetic.:teeth:

yea i was forced to go see the first one (early on christmas morning nonetheless) because i had no idea what it was about...i was so disappointed when i first realized it was a trilogy and i actually had to wait...but the waitings almost over!

orli is gorgeous, elijah is goregous and so many others...man oh man the movies are all awesome!

I agree with DisneyGirl421. I was never interested in the Lord of the Rings movies, even though Orli is hot. Just never saw the what the fuss was about them.

ooooh dont listen to laura (disneygirl421) lol ;) im gonna start working on her and soon she'll realize how amazing the movies are. its not so much the fuss that makes them so great...they just are awesome. the stories themselves are so original and the movies just bring them to life. j.r.r tolkien did such a great job on the books...and he even developed a history and languages for the characters.

you never saw them??? well that explains a lot!!!!!! get ur butt over to a blockbuster and rent them immediately!!!! lol:yo-yo:

Oh I can't wait! I'm going to have to though since I have a concert and rehersals all day tomorrow. I am going on Thursday after my History exam though so that's something to look forward to!

I saw the trailer the other day and I've seen the preview on the dvd so many times! It's going to be absolutely amazing it really is. I can't believe it's the last one though, I'll be ever so lost next Christmas!

I heard on the radio this morning that the New York Times (or something like that) called it the best movie of the year and it's not even out yet.

he even developed a history and languages for the characters.

yeah my cousin found a website (idk wut t is) that gives you an elf name i dont remember wut my name was but it ment "queen of wisdom" and she memerized almost the entire elvish language she is a fanatic its crazy on holidays how much we learn more about either LOTR or POTC cuz she is obssessed with that too

The whole reason it was written was because of Tolkien's love of languages, he wrote the whole elvish language before he wrote the books. Amazing isn't it.

I would love to learn the Elvish language. It's so beautiful! I saw something on t.v. where Liv Tyler was being interviewed, and she spoke in Elvish.

Has anyone here read the trilogy, as well as The Silmarillion (sp?)?

Rose_Greenthumb- it's so amazing how deep he delved into the creation of the stories. I think he had most of the languages written before he developed the story. I also heard (on the special extended edition DVD lol) that he first began writing The Hobbit while grading papers when he was an English professor at Oxford University.

i am soooooo excited but at the same time soooooo upset. i cant belive this is the last installment. my parents are also making me wait until new years eve night to see it. ugh. my dad is totally into the lotr spirit, but my mom is not. oh well!!! im so excited though!!!

i also want to learn elvish. such a beautiful language.

I can't believe it's here! Oh it's so exciting!

MickeyMouse418 - It really is amazing isn't it, it brings a whole new meaning to character development! I found a website with all these family trees on it and it really is fascinating. He created the entire middle earth including it's languages and it's maps. Wouldn't it be amazing to have met him!

I saw it at midnight and it was awesome!! It didn't even seem like it was 3 and a half hours long...it went by really quickly.

They left out pretty much all of the characters who are introduced in the third book...I guess I can understand why, because there's already so many characters in the trilogy, but it's a little bit disappointing. And Saruman isn't in the movie at all.

They also added a little bit of drama with Frodo and Sam that isn't in the book, and I have no idea why. I guess being in a pitch black cave in Mordor with a giant spider and a creepy guy trying to kill them just wasn't suspenseful enough.

Also, it ends about 10 times. I read the other day that Peter Jackson couldn't decide what ending to use, so he put them all in. Some of it is really cheesy...everyone in the theatre was laughing, which was kind of funny.

I thought the movie was great, but if you're a fan of the books, it's a little bit disappointing...but the first 2 were, too, I guess. And I don't really like the ending, but it's pretty accurate with the book...I just don't really like the ending in the book either.:p Overall, RotK is an amazing movie!

it sounds absolutely amazing!! i cant wait till i see it...i might have to wait till the weekend! if only i didnt have a concert tonite, and if my teachers were trying to cram in tests before vaca, i would seen it tonite!
