Hi

Has anyone stayed at the Rosen Plaza is it any good. Location, rooms etc...

Thanks
Michelle

If you mean the Rosen on I-Drive by teh Convention Center, it's nice enough. Not all that geared towards a leisure traveler--more of a business hotel. Location is pretty central between WDW and Universal. and close to Sea World.

It wouldn't be my first choice for a vacation trip. If I was attending a conference at the convention center and couldn't get a room at the Peabody, it would be my second choice.

I think this used to be called the Clarion Plaza, nearby is also the Omni Rosen, both now re-named to Rosen Plaza and Rosen Center (I think)....we have stayed at both.

Of the 2 the Rosen Center is a nicer hotel, very much a business hotel though but nevertheless very very nice and better than RP.

We stayed at the Rosen Center about 2 years ago. We had contacted a Quality INn, I believe, about using a "Roomsaver" coupon. THey directed us to the Rosen. It was a GREAT deal at $35 a night!
We were there in Dec and we were able to use the pool (heated) and hot tub. The set up was such that you were protected from the wind. We enjoyed our stay--there was a little mall like area across the street (not too lively tho) and we were able to go over and have drinks and dinner

We Stayed there also about 4 years ago, they had a great rate we found of 59.00 a nite......I liked it alot and we had breakfast vouchers included, We had a king size bed in our room and I do remember it being quite comfy, it was real nice and clean and quiet.....It does look very business like and actually had several conferences going on and we actually said hi to the Governer of Florida, Jeb Bush, it was neat!!!!He was real nice and talked with us........I was real happy with the Hotel Vey nice freindly people at check in and very helpfull, the restaurant was good but we only ate there for breakfast. I still always look for deals if I can would stay there again...Hope it helped!!! princess:

DH had a conference there just this past Oct. The lobby and conference areas were nice, but our friends that actually stayed and had rooms there were not too impressed. They wished that they would have stayed somewhere else. They said that the rooms were very basic. If you can get a really great rate, then it should be ok.
