When it first came out, I was horrified. I thought 'how can she talk to her kids that way' but then as I started to watch more I got what she was doing with the show.
It was a really good show.

I want a couch like theirs - very sturdy

I think the show was very well written and very funny...well, everyone except for Roseanne herself. I just can't stand her. But John Goodman was the best! And so was Sara Gilbert.

I love Roseanne, but I stopped watching when they got the new Becky. I hated her. I've been watching on TVLand recently.

You ever see the pilot with the original D.J?

It is so weird seeing someone other than Michael Fishman play D.J.

The original D.J. just did not fit with them

I love the Halloween episodes. My favorite was where Roseanne was visited by the spirits of Halloween.

You ever see the pilot with the original D.J?

It is so weird seeing someone other than Michael Fishman play D.J.

The original D.J. just did not fit with them

The pilot was weird to see with the original D.J. Sal Barone.

YEAH!!!

The Roseanne show is the reason I go to sleep so late!

I love the fact that the script was realistic.

The show didn't mince words when it came to the everyday ups and downs of a middle class couple and their imperfect children!

Pertaining to most "family" shows; nothing says "sham" quicker than an always clean house filled with perfect kids and a couple who are lovey dovey all the time.

For some reason I stopped watching it before it ended though.. Can someone explain what happened to Dan? I think he died, but did they have an episode that actually showed him dying? He & Roseanne had also separated.. Did they get back together before he died?

Please fill me in!

The last episode, Roseanne let everyone know that Dan had died when he had the heart attack. Basically the whole show was a book she wrote based on her own family. Besides Dan dying, she revealed that Jackie was gay, and her mom was straight, and that Becky was really married to David, and Darlene to Mark. She had changed in the book/show, because it made more sense to her. Also the last season was fantasy, while she was trying to cope with the loss of Dan.

You need to go to hulu .com and try to find the first episode. I never realized it either til a couple years ago

That last show produced a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes!

I've seen it at least three times and still get very emotional!

I enjoyed Rosanne. I loved the Halloween episodes. I also really enjoyed the when they went to Disney World and even dark Darlene had a blast!

watch it all the time. lots of reruns on lately too. What I dont like is I have an aunt who is just like the annoying grandma, drives us all nuts
