So what are the voices of experience on eating at the Rose & Crown?

We had lunch there in July, and dinner there a couple weeks ago. It's okay, nothing real great - but, we'd go back again.

We actually had a bad experience at the Rose and Crown. The fish and chips were soggy, lots of drunks from the bar were making a lot of noise and were floating around the restaurant and the server was not so nice. I think it was just a coincidence considering all of the other reviews I hear, but overall our experience was not so great.

Ooh, that sounds unpleasant. We've enjoyed lunch and dinner there many times over the years. Love the fruit and cheese plate. We enjoy the decor and atmosphere and have had really good servers over the years even by WDW standards. Your local VFW or KofC may have a better fish fry but you can't beat the atmosphere in our opinion. Lunch is less hectic than dinner.

I've only eaten there once ... I went based on the recommendations I read here. I thought it was great ... I loved the fruit and cheese plate ... The fish & chips was great, but its a very generous serving. So towards the end it was a little cold. Dessert was great too ... I tried the triffle ... Yum!! I think the best was being able to have dessert and watching Illuminations

My fam ate there at nite and saw the amazing fireworks display right from our table which we luckily got outside. My mom was very excited when she had a special beer combo cause it reminded her from when she was in England. The food was good. We had a cheese platter together and I had a salad. My picky brother had the chickend dish and my parents had a fish dinner. The desserts sounded great and was hard to narrow it down. Give it a try.

I had the "Snack size" portion of Fish & Chips in February, and it was just enough. You order it at the "take out window" and can seat yourself at a table next to it. Follow the path, and you find the tables.

Rose & Crown have always been good to us. Since we don't like fried fish they cook it different forr us then they give us mashed pot from the kids menu. Once when I was so sick all i wanted was watermelon where they found it never will know.
If you are lucky tp get an outside sit around fireworks time just wonderful.
