If Epcot is closing at 9pm, is it safe to assume Illumnations will be at 9pm? This is in January....
And assuming that...what is a good time to get an ADR for rose & crown so hopefully we can get a spot beside the fireworks? Thanks.

The Illuminations times for January are actually already on the Disney website. It was at 9 for every night that I checked (I checked several dates from 1/5-1/16.) You may want to check your specific dates just to be sure, but it's a very safe assumption that you're making.

As for what time to make your Rose and Crown reservations . . . I'm hoping 8 pm is good since that's what time I made mine for. If not, well, I hear the restaurant has a special section where its guests can stand and watch.

Now, I could be wrong, but I believe Illuminations is always at 9:00--no matter time of year. We have always done a 7:30 ADR at Rose & Crown. However, there is no guarantee you will get an outside table, even if you request it when you arrive at the podium. And they will not allow you to say that you'll wait for the next table if they do not offer you an outside table. Of the four times we've had dinner here (we usually do lunch), we've been given an outside table only once.

When we ate at R&C back in November...I made reservations about an hour and 15 minutes prior to illuminations and got a table inside. When we finished our entrees, we put in our dessert orders and then the waitress lead us all outside to the special porch area reserved for R&C customers. They even put our drinks into plastic cups so we could take them out with us. We watched illumations with an awesome view and when we went back in, our desserts were waiting for us. Worked out great.

Illuminations is at 9:30 from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve. That's in order to accommodate the Candlelight Processional late showing. All the other days, it's at 9:00. (Maybe July 4th is also a later time?)

Thank you for the info--did not know that (we've never gone during the holidays).
